Dick Morris: Bill Clinton Personally Orchestrated the 1993 Waco, Texas Tragedy
Canada Free Press ^ | Tuesday, April 20, 2010 | Fred Dardick

Posted on 04/20/2010 11:26:05 AM PDT by FredDardick

It looks like somebody is going to have to update the Waco Siege page on Wikipedia. Apparently the whitewashed history that former President Bill Clinton would like us to believe regarding the 1993 federal assault on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, is missing important details regarding his own personal involvement.

In response to Bill Clinton’s highly publicized linking of the Tea Party movement to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing in an op-ed piece for the New York Times, former Clinton adviser Dick Morris disclosed on Monday that it was Clinton himself, and not Attorney General Janet Reno, as Americans have been led to believe for the past 17 years, who called the shots during the 1993 botched invasion that led to the death of seventy-six people.

No. I knew I was talking about Ruby Ridge. I was trying to make the comparison of how the feds do business. I read the whole story of Ruby Ridge and the same thing happened about a sawed off shotgun there. Maybe the feds used that as their excuse in the Waco case, too.

“…it’s just too bad the federal government was so fiercely incompetent that they allowed some 30 children to be killed in the process.” “perhaps violated federal law”

“But, David Koresh is the person who is directly responsible for Waco, not Bill Clinton.”

Using the words “allowed” and “perhaps” makes it sounds like a CYA WH statement.

Imagine if Clinton (take your choice and even include Webster Hubbell) had directed, “Do what you have to do, but I don’t want anyone killed.”

They didn’t need to arrest Koresh, but simply take him into custody. Even after they lost the element of surprise, they ignored action that could have saved the children.

Rodney King is glad you were not on the jury that awarded him $3.8m.

You can have the last word.

I recall hearing that Vince Foster was so sickened by the Waco murders that he was going to go puplic and was killed before he had the chance.

I think what was more important was that Vince thought it was all his fault.

The reason I think he said it, is that he was letting HILLARY run the show and directly giving orders to RENO and WESLEY.

The FBI kept telling RENO they had it under control, and the children were safe. That is why she stated that the FBI lied to her.

The whole thing ended up being a chicken shoot with the various elements (FBI,ATF,ARMY, and elements of Special Forces) all competing for kills.

I can't believe how many people make excuses for lying to a judge for a warrant, defying the Posse Comitatus Act and carrying out a military style assault on a group of men, women and children to arrest a guy who jogged down a county road by himself twice a week.

Not to mention the complete cover up by all levels of government since then. Koresh is one guy and arresting him would have ended whatever he was actually doing. The FedGov and its alphabet agencies continue on.

"So you don’t see any difference between muslims and Christains?"

Legally - and that's what we're talking about, the law - there is no difference whatsoever, at least that's what the Founders intended. I'm sorry that concept is either lost on you, or unimportant.

W’s father caused Ruby Ridge.

W's father was President during the Ruby Ridge incident. While that makes him ultimately responsible for what happened, I haven't seen any evidence that he CAUSED it.

I don't think Bill Clinton CAUSED WACO to occur.

Sorry, I missed a few pieces of that discussion.

"You can watch this yourself by searching "Waco The Big Lie" parts 1 through 3. "

Ah, yes. The ubiquitous documentary. The left have produced plenty of similar documentaries over the last 8 years accusing Bush & Cheney of everything from wife beating to the intentional murder of Americans on 9/11. I find those as compelling as I do the documentaries about Waco and Ruby Ridge.

Sorry, I'm not a conspiracy nut. Never have been, never will be.

What other back room dirt is known about the power-hungry Clintoons from 1960 through today?

This site spent ten years trying to post it all and we didn't ever get to near the bottom of the septic pump out. We would need a bigger World Wide Web to cover it all.

The investigation of Koresh began in June of ‘92 and the ATF committed the initial assault less than four weeks after Clintoon was sworn in to office. You can lay the handling of what happened after the FBI was called in on Clintoon’s watch but the many crimes committed before the ATF even went in were done on GHWB’s watch.

BTW, Lon Horiuchi was the 'shooter' at Ruby Ridge.

Did you know he was there at WACO?

Would that be a common factor?

I think that was the basis of the other poster’s argument long time ago ... it’s like blaming GWB for 9/11 when those terrorists were training for five years under Clinton.

"The POLICE have a policy that if a HIGH SPEED CHASE starts to endanger innocent motorists, the chase is called off."

You say that like it's a good thing. I don't think it is. It tells the perps all they have to do to evade arrest is to drive fast through populated areas.

The arrest warrant was based on federal firearms charges, but the search warrant was based - in part - on an affidavit from a UPS driver that attested he saw grenades in a box that he delivered to the compound.

Again, what if a UPS driver swore under penalty of perjury that he just delivered hand grenades to a Mosque - a Mosque that was already being surveillance for suspicion of other violations of federal law. Would you not want the feds to obtain a search warrant? And, if they encountered resistance when serving that warrant, would you not expect them to answer such resistance with force?

What had Koresh done up to that point, besides shorten a shotgun for some FBI plant who needed someone to squeeze for info?
