Folks, recently some people associated with patriot groups have been involved with exposing the background of a Campaign for Liberty cabndidate, Adam Kokesh, for what we believe are to be serious character issues, specifically, his involvement with Anti-war activities and his participation in protests against America, his attempts to coerce American troops to desert their units in Ansbach, Germany in time of war.

Well, the campaign for Liberty is fighting back with threats of a lawsuit against certain individuals

Or let me put it another way.

Kokesh is a fruit loop, but he's a minor, inconsequential fruit loop on the fringe periphery of the Republican party and will never be anything more.

Giuliani is also a fruit loop, but he's a major and powerful figure in the Republican party. He's also the embodiment of everything that's wrong with the Republican party today - a RINO big government pro amnesty abortionist with a scandalous tabloid-style personal life and openly expressed ambitions for the highest levels of political office.

So yes, I fear Giuliani a lot more than I fear Kokesh.

Adam Kokesh as a candidate is a Public Figure and has a Gigantic hurdle to get over to win a libel suit. Believe this is real when they get served. Even then it will be quickly dismissed.

Maybe he should file against Michelle Malkin.

Slander also implies we are intentionally spreading falsehoods.

I genuinely believe what I say about him. And, I back it up with links and articles.

So, just to recap... Rudy’s Guiliaini’s endorsement of Greyson troubles you more than Stormfront’s endorsement and support for Rand Paul. And you don’t wonder for one second what a bunch of genocidal neo-Nazis see in Rand Paul that would motivate them to endorse and raise money for him.

And the Pauls’ financial support for and endorsement of Adam Kokesh, “the kook” as you call him, doesn’t trouble you at all; nor does their support for the “kook” reflect on them in any way whatsoever.

Got it.

Stormfront also supported a bunch of the Tea Party rallies last week, but that doesn't mean the Tea Parties are representative of Stormfront, Keith Olbermann notwithstanding. It just means that Stormfront, a kooky group of idiotic malcontents, is looking for a way to pretend it's relevant to something. Anything.

But the truth is it's not. Nobody who "receives" it wants or asks for Stormfront's support. Nobody is being swayed by Stormfront's message. And nobody, save for you, thinks we should even pay attention to what they are saying in the first place.

On the other hand, we do have the known and documented case of Rudolph Giuliani personally and directly coddling and employing a pedophile priest who likes to molest little boys. And Trey Greyson just willingly took an endorsement from him...

Does that mean Tea Partiers are also "KNOWN BY the company you keep!!!" And are you also asking "Why does STORMFRONT support the Tea Parties??"

Your logic sounds an awful lot like Keith Olbermann. Just sayin.

So tell me again, Keith, why didn’t the Tea Parties eject the people who publicly bragged about attending them on STORMFRONT?

Ron Paul ‘90s newsletters rant against blacks, gays

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/10/paul.newsletters/

WASHINGTON (CNN) — A series of newsletters in the name of GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul contain several racist remarks — including one that says order was restored to Los Angeles after the 1992 riots when blacks went “to pick up their welfare checks.”

This is a copy of one of the “Ron Paul Political Report” newsletters, which has stirred controversy.

1 of 2 CNN recently obtained the newsletters — written in the 1990s and one from the late 1980s — after a report was published about their existence in The New Republic.

None of the newsletters CNN found says who wrote them, but each was published under Paul’s name between his stints as a U.S. congressman from Texas.

Paul told CNN’s “The Situation Room” Thursday that he didn’t write any of the offensive articles and has “no idea” who did. Watch Paul’s full interview with CNN »

“When you bring this question up, you’re really saying, ‘You’re a racist’ or ‘Are you a racist?’ And the answer is, ‘No, I’m not a racist,’” he said.

Paul said he had never even read the articles with the racist comments.

So, why do the newsletters have the statements in them again??

Ron answers he is against it, but why is it there to begin with??

Why do these accusations follow him?

If anyone ever started saying these things about me, I would be making damn sure I lived my life in such a way that it would never be proven true...yet, for soem reason, he attracts people like this

same with 9/11 truthers. Why?

Why does Paul attract truthers like he does?

Why does he attract anti-war types??

Why does he attract UFO people??

I did a brief internet search and found out why the Campaign for Liberty is going after "American Patriots Against Kokesh" -- in short, because they took a piece of evidence and lied about it to slime Kokesh. They said that Kokesh' military records "proved that he never served in Iraq" -- which even one anti-Kokesh guy says is a lie and it mentions Free Republic getting drug into it.

First I am NOT defending any neo-Nazi scumbags, nor am I trying to defend this Kokesh guy, or the Campaign for Liberty because even though I’ve heard of the CFL I have not ever heard of the guy and am not familiar with what is going on...

The thing that bothers me is how people are making assumptions about the candidates themselves in relation to non-official postings on a racist website. For instance, if someone posted something about Bush on that site, and suggested voting for him would people automatically think that Bush himself authorized it, and is directly involved?

How do we know it isn’t someone AGAINST the candidate putting such things on that website in order to make a stronger case? The other thing is that many things are posted on sites like that without the knowledge of those who produced the work (kind of like articles are posted here). Just because a member of the Stormfront group posts something on their website does that automatically mean that the person who wrote the article or whatnot is responsible for it being there, and does it imply that they then endorse Stormfront? I don’t think so...

As I said, I’m not familiar with the specifics you all are talking about, but it concerns me that people may be making assumptions based upon an anonymous posting at that website.

[I’m out the door to the grocery store, but will be back a bit later and I will be checking out the “whole story”. If I’ve misunderstood what’s going on, please be kind! :) ]

Aside from doing your best Keith Olbermann-meets-Southern Poverty Law Center impression, could you remind me what your point is again?

In reviewing those newsletters (which were from Ron, not his son Rand btw), I don't see so much as a single word that would be out of place among what gets posted here on Free Republic every single day. They're certainly a tad un-PC, but not much worse than that. And it's actually mild compared to what gets said on some of the threads here about the radical gay movement etc.

Then again, we've already established with the Stormfront issue that you apply different standards to different people based on the convenience of the argument to the candidate you support. So I don't expect you to see the inconsistency here either.

On a similar note...

Why does Trey Grayson attract the Rudy Giuliani types?

And why does he run paid political ads bragging that he's attracting the Rudy Giuliani types?

He might be “loony” but he served our country and therefore earned the right to protest, whether or not we agree with his view.

I agree. Who did anyone think that these racist scumbags were supporting before RP put his hat in the ring?

Stormfront and neo-Nazis have most often supported Republicans -- and probably supported Bush, Dole, Bush, and even Reagan - and their support is completely irrelevant

It's not who Stormfront supports that matters -- it's who supports Stormfront that matters. And so far, RP is the only one who has publicly rejected their racist creed.
