The scandal of the aftermath of the vicious political attack on Alexandra "Allee" Bautsch, the chief fundraiser for Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and her boyfriend, Joe Brown, as they left a Republican fundraiser attended by three GOP governors (Jindal, Rick Perry of Texas and Haley Barbour of Mississippi) April 9th has taken a sickening turn as a report has surfaced that some in the Lousiana GOP are giving Bautsch what amounts to a second beating by starting a whispering campaign that she "earned" the attack with her "sassy mouth."
Blogger Pat Dollard, who has been working the story of the attack, Tweeted last night accusing some in the Louisiana GOP of saying that Bautsch deserved the attack and that he's confirmed the Louisiana "Republican establishment" is trying to "shut down the Allee Bautsch story." His report is in contrast to a statement by Louisiana GOP Chairman Louis Villere, Jr.--who has not blamed Bautsch for the attack--that he was pursued without provocation by protesters outside the same event where Bautsch and Brown were later attacked.
Dollard's report lends credence to what a reporter who is also working the story told me on background last week, that the scuttlebutt was that people were going to be saying Bautsch has a "big mouth" and "may have brought the attack on herself."
Dollard's Tweets:
"I have verification that the Republican establishment in Louisiana is trying to shut down the Allee Bautsch story."

Gov. Jindal has been noticably silent on the maiming of his aide, issuing a brief statement three days after the attack when it first became public and later sending out his spokesman to deny a report that the couple was wearing Sarah Palin pins when attacked. Curiously, the New Orleans police also waited three days until the attack became public to open a criminal investigation.
Bautsch's mother, Della Berning, says her daughter's leg was stomped and broken in four places by protesters who were part of an anti-Republican protest organized by leftists who followed the couple from Brennan's restaurant, the scene of the fundraiser.
Bautsch's wounds required a rod and seven screws to be implanted in her leg. Brown suffered a broken nose and jaw and as well as a concussion that gave him problems with remembering details of the attack.
According to the police report, which is based on Brown's beating-induced foggy memory, the attackers yelled things like, " "Little blonde bitch," "You're a f------- faggot," and "You think you're f------ special."
Bautsch's mother told Fox News, "...things were said to my daughter and to her boyfriend that basically everything was about money. From the time they were walking out of the restaurant things were being said to them."
Berning told Yahoo News that Brown and her daughter have told her they were attacked by protesters who followed them as they left the fundraiser at Brennan's.
The host of the fundraiser, Louisiana Republican Chairman Roger Villere, Jr., said in an intrview that he was targeted and pursued by protesters as he tried to leave the fundraiser. He and his group had to leave out the back as the protesters had blocked the entrance to Brennan's. When the protesters spotted them, Villere and his group fled to a taxi and made their escape. Bautsch and Brown weren't as lucky.
Some conservative bloggers and reporters have hurt their reputations with their condescending efforts to play down the political basis for the attack on Bautsch and Brown.
Pat Dollard spoke for many last night when he Tweeted:
Welcome to the Stockholm Syndrome of the Republican Establishment, and the Elites of the Conservative Blogging Establisment who prop 'em up.

And
I'm getting the feeling that the elites in the Conservative blogging establishment are as useless as the elites in the GOP.

With the mainstream media feeling no pressure to pursue the story, it's no wonder some in the Louisiana GOP are not afraid to blame the victim.
Fortunately, The Hayride, Free Republic, Human Events, Gateway Pundit, Big Government, Lincoln Parish News Online, Tennessee Conservative, Big Journalism and Pat Dollard have maintained their independence from GOP and MSM approval and reported the story as it developed.
While late to the story, Fox News and Megyn Kelly get credit for interviewing Bautsch's mother last Friday and for booking The Hayride's Scott McKay to be on about 2:10 p.m. EDT today.
I just sent in my concealed carry after reading this story. I had taken the class a couple of months back but had not sent in for the license. This story motivated me to get the license and protect myself.
New Orleans French Quarter Beating Shows Sick City
Written by: Jeff CrouereDespite the lack of interest by the local and national media, it seems pretty clear that a hate crime occurred in the French Quarter during the Southern Republican Leadership Conference. The evidence indicates that a bunch of socialist and anarchist punks descended on Brennan’s Restaurant to protest a Republican fundraiser and later that evening savagely beat Allee Bautsch, a top aide to Governor Bobby Jindal, and her boyfriend Joe Brown.
Sadly, Governor Jindal has been quiet about this attack, possibly worried about the fallout from more negative publicity about the crime rate in New Orleans. Despite his concerns, the Governor needs to speak out on this issue and emphasize that the crime should be solved and that the attackers should be immediately brought to justice.
With two young conservatives beaten because of their political beliefs, it seems clear that a hate crime occurred. Not surprisingly, there has been no word from civil rights leaders who are always so worried about hate crimes and no investigation from the city’s Human Rights Commission. In fact, this crime is so vicious and is apparently so political in nature that the Justice Department should be contacted. Where are all of the groups like the ACLU that constantly proclaim discrimination against minorities? In New Orleans, conservatives are a pretty distinct minority, but, sadly, it seems this is the only group that is not protected.
In this incident, the media is uninterested and have been very slow to follow the case. In fact, the Times Picayune is more interested in establishing that the attackers were not motivated by political hatred. Initial reports indicated that the thugs did not shout political insults as they were attacking Ms. Bautsch and her boyfriend. It is really irrelevant what the criminals were yelling as they were beating up Ms. Bautsch and Mr. Brown. So what, the attackers did not yell, “Republicans suck,” while beating these two to a pulp. It still seems pretty obvious that the motivation was political.
Dozens of radical protesters were in the area before the crime was committed. In fact, the description of the attacker matches a picture of one of the protesters. Check out the photos and derive your own conclusions (www.tncon.com). The pictures show a vile group of protesters carrying extremist signs filled with profanity. It is not unreasonable to conclude that one of these individuals attacked Ms. Bautsch and her boyfriend.
Right after the fundraiser, Louisiana Republican Party Chairman Roger Villere and his group faced so many crazed protesters that they had to exit at the rear of the restaurant. Despite this subterfuge, protesters noticed the group and chased them before they were able to escape in a taxicab.
Hopefully, the NOPD is investigating all of the protesters; however, they initially categorized the case as a medical emergency and not a crime. It is inconceivable that these individuals were injured without a criminal assault occurring. Ms. Bautsch did not damage her own leg in four places and her boyfriend did not slam his own head into the iron gates outside the Supreme Court building.
This NOPD error raises disturbing questions about the competency and motives of the NOPD (not our problem dude). Was this a case of NOPD incompetence, purposefully downgrading of a crime or disinterest in a crime against a Republican? Whatever the reason for the delay, it is not comforting to the citizens of New Orleans who depend on the NOPD for their safety.
Initially, video of the demonstrators was posted on-line by a member of the protesting group, the Iron Rail Book Collective. This video should be retrieved and examined by police. In addition, French Quarter security cameras should be reviewed in an effort to identify the attackers.
In New Orleans, crime is a frequent occurrence, but in this case robbery was not the motive. . If the attack was a typical crime, valuables would have been stolen, but during the beating, nothing was taken from the two victims. When the ambulance arrived and Ms. Bautsch was moved, her purse was somehow stolen, but it was not taken by the attackers.
Random beatings in the French Quarter do not usually occur near Brennan’s Restaurant. A beating of a top aide to a Governor almost never happens in New Orleans or any other city, in fact, nothing similar has occurred in our recent history. Even in the murder capital of the nation, hate crimes are fairly rare. There should be the same outrage in this case as there is when an African American is targeted because of his race or a homosexual is beaten up because of his sexual orientation. Sadly, when conservatives are targeted, there is nothing but silence.
This incident is an outrage on many different levels. Of course, the crime is tragic and the fact that these criminals are still roaming the streets is disturbing. The media coverage has been pathetic and the police work has been slipshod. Yet, life still rolls on in the Big Easy and the city gets ready for the next festival, the next party. On the outside, the good times are rolling, but underneath the surface, this city is very sick.

Maybe it’s the evil, greedy surgeons, operating on people who don’t really need surgery just so they can bill for stuff? This young couple better check their kidneys, and be sure they are all still there. Damn surgeons.
Questions to your thoughts:
1) How on earth could the LA Democrat party pressure the Republicans into adopting this line. That’s absurd.
2) Corruption? Ok, but explain further. How does “corruption” explain the fact that they (allegedly) want to demonize Allee Bautsch? Again, what is the motive for doing this?
She probably dressed provocatively, too!
Irony of some of the signs:
SRLC: lady haters
Government is violence
...
if it was so cut and dry, how come the GOP isn’t shouting this to the treetops? they might know things we don’t.
In that same vein, you don't look like an ignorant retard based upon your profile, but...
Yes. It’s time to take advantage of what options are available.

Took your advice and enlarged the pic. It also seems to me that part of his nose is red (consistent with being punched? - I don’t know, not much experience in that sort of thing). Also that his right temple is red and inflamed. (Near the right eye.) But, as I said, I have no experience with this sort of thing - I don’t even watch crime shows.
I deal with this group of elderly elephants on a local level. They are stuck in the 50's where politics was polite conversation, the GOP was a glamorous group of people sipping cocktails and looking down their noses at everyone.
My apologies to my elders here who have adapted and now actively fight the good fight, I don't want to group you with the country-club set.
Folks, I think the take home message from all of this is this: we, as conservatives, had better be ready and willing to give back as good as we’re getting from these leftist thugs. Even if it means jacking jaws. Even if it means shooting in self-defence. Don’t expect the MSM or the grand high muckety-mucks in the GOP to come to your defence - we’ll have to do that for each other.
The difference being that Ann KNOWS she is hated by a lot of dangerous people and would never have attended an event like that without security.
Note she’s already lost one shoe in that picture. The expressions on their faces don’t show what they’d been through, but shock has some interesting effects. Not to mention that they were probably delighted to see the police after what they’d been through.
I find it hard to believe that the LA GOP Establishment (or even its minions) is so harsh and cold that they would claim that anyone deserved that kind of beating/bone breaking under any circumstances.
This is one where too many pieces just don’t fit.
I don’t think I’d be intersted in Jindal for potus. He seems kind of linguini spined to me.
Maybe the old guard of the GOP ought to reward NO with the convention? /s
Goodwin is talking now about how the anti-Israel rhetoric out of Zero is fueling anti-semetic rantings(letters and e-mails)
The deafening silence of the Rinos and the ususal suspects is giving the crazies a green light to beat up Conservs or Repubs.
Now it is clear why Perry told Tea Party members to watch your backs.
The next attack on Non-Zero supporters is going to be on Zero and GOP shoulders.
WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?
