All FReepers and lurkers in good standing are invited to join the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic at our 12th annual freep of the White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday, May 1, 2010 in Washington, D.C.
This is our most fun freep of the year. You never know who in the media and political world you'll meet there. Over the years, we've met and debated the likes of Al Franken, razzed Paul Begala and James Carville, been filmed by Drew Barrymore, cheered on Fox News reporters, met FRiends such as Matt Drudge and Ann Coulter, and FReeped the liberal media with humor and serious barbs.
Afterward, we retire to the hotel where the dinner is held and watch it on TV in the bar while we dine and relax with our FRiends.
When: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2009
Where: Across from the Washington Hilton, 1900 Connecticut Avenue and T Street, NW, Washington D.C.
This is a rain or shine event.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
D.C. Chapter Ping List!
Please let me know if you plan to attend.
FReep On!
Should be an especially significant event for Obama given that it falls on communist May Day.
Obama has been abusing the press ever since he came into office. Will they ever get a clue and start to fight back?
I’ll send a free avocado to any reporter who asks the One for his Birth Certificate.
Lots of ideas for signs. Heck, we could just use some from the Tea Parties we go to. Some of those are real good.
[Mr] T
Not me. I have a day shift the next day (wake up at 3:45 am, etc.).
Will REALLY try BUMP. Had a wonderful time at last one I attended....
I’m making plans to be there, Angelwood! This really is a great Freep — fun, BUT an important one. The press is one BIG reason we are in the mess we find in this country.
I’m looking forward to seeing you again as well — there will be some other original freepers at this event, too. It’s always a great evening seeing who in the media is brave and who is cowardly — remember George Steponallofus and a few others who crossed the street instead of facing the gauntlet of signs!
Hope you can make it — it’s been awhile since we saw each other.
The “Losing Share” banner has never been a more eloquent statement of the job MSNBCBSCNNABC have been doing. It’s such a disservice to the American People!
Back to the top! Saturday will be here before we know it!
Have fun and give 'em hell.
Bump — it’s almost time for our annual FReep!
