Mitt Romney-Sarah Palin in 2012? You betcha!
Boston Herald ^ | April 14, 2010 | Edward Mason, Hillary Chabot and Jessica Van Sack

Conservative superstar Sarah Palin opened the door today to joining forces with Mitt Romney for a 2012 White House run - a hot ticket that has some Republicans licking their chops at the prospect of unseating President Obama.

“Sounds pretty good,” Palin declared at today’s Tea Party Express rally on the Common when asked about pairing up with the former Bay State governor - giving the idea a big thumbs-up as she left the stage after her headline speech.

Earlier tonight, as Palin stopped for cannoli at Mike’s Pastry in the North End, she said she was “serious” about the idea.

They’re pushing Romney for the same reason that the dinosaur media was pushing McCain during the primaries .... they know he’s a loser. Romney will never get the support of the Tea Party members, and Sarah will lose her “street cred” if she runs with him. The dinosaur media WANTS to run a Republican candidate that will tear the GOP electorate apart.

Mike’s Pastry? THE original tourist trap?

Modern Pastry’s the only way to go.

They must have meant a Palin-Romney ticket. Seriously, Palin is shrewd enough to not alientate other candidates. She’s going to say nice things about them, but when it gets down to picking her running partner, she’s in the driver’s seat, and I don’t think she’s going to pick a RINO.

Sarah Palin will never be a VP candidate again. That much I know. As for the rest of this, a lot of wishful thinking by the Mittsters along with Sarah possibly saying some things to make nice with the locals.

I have no idea whether she'll run for the top spot or not. I hope she does.

No, I don’t see this happening. Even the best running mate wouldn’t make Romney an inspiring nominee.

If anything it would be Palin /Mittens 2012. Sarah could send Mittens to funerals in the Middle East, or perhaps he could be the go to guy for Olympics?

No RINOS, Sarah! Not again! There’s, still, not enough actual conservatism in the northeastern states, so I understand why so many northeastern state voters still like RINO Mitt Romney. It will be a serious mistake for any conservative POTUS candidate to pick a RINO as their final, official choice for VP, and all RINO POTUS candidates are already full of mistakes, just by themselves.

I was watching and I sure never heard nor saw any such thing.

Slick Mitt hasn’t a snow balls chance - and Sarah is smart enough to know that.

Now Palin/West, yes. HELL yes. (Sarah has endorsed West for his Congress run - see last clip)

Romney doesn't have a prayer.

Too much comparison going on between Obamacare and Romneycare in Massachusetts!

And, I wish people would stop wasting their votes on Romney in all those straw polls!

First of all, she has given no indication that she is running for President, and secondly, if she even did say this (Which I doubt) she was clearly joking

Has ROMNEY been a man to take Ownership for the attacks on Gov. Palin on
the eve of Election 2008 throwing Obama into the White House?

"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

Erick Erickson, who organized Operation Leper, said:
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

Who benefits most from Sanford meltdown? Californian (that's right) Mitt Romney

I see no indication that this is satire. Looks to me like a story from the Boston Herald

And you believe it because it's printed in the paper?

I watched Sarah today - to the end of her talk and walking off the stage and down into the crowd out of sight. I never saw nor heard any such thing.

You do, of course, realize that lib scum media has been known, on occasion (sarq) to, ah, LIE.

This idea was floated under Mitt's direction (I believe).

He is worried about all the stuff coming out on how bad Romney care is working out. He is sensing the band is playing the final note on his chance to dance.

Now Palin Thompson makes a bit more sense.
