After candidates complain to organizers, Orly Taitz's speaking engagement is withdrawn. Taitz has been a leading voice in the discredited 'birther' movement.
(snip)
One candidate threatened to withdraw from the event before Tuesday's decision to uninvite Taitz. John Dennis, who is running for the Republican nomination to oppose House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco, said he would not appear on the same stage as Taitz.
"The presence of a discredited publicity seeker on the same platform with patriotic Americans distorts the focus of our movement, distracts from our common message and gives ammunition to those who continue to question our legitimacy," Dennis said in a statement.

I am not sure just any other “competent” attorney would have standing to appeal, either. You would need to be a party or perhaps amicus curiae, but again, no one will have standing. I just pray someday the truth comes out.
Yes, but most of us can read a temperture gauge for ourselves, and know that there hasn’t been a measurable increase in global temps since at least 1998.
We also know the margin of error for the global warming kooks from the days of the British Empire 150 years ago had a margin of error well beyond the suggested increase since that time.
Finally, enviromental issues don’t decide national election cycles. MSM slantings sometimes do, as we just saw.
Why go there, when its disputable from either side, when the economic issues that affect every one of us are not?
I say let her speak. She’s better on the stump and with interviews than in the courtroom.
BINGO!
They should. Those who pledge to spend TRILLIONS on a BALD FACED LIE of MARXIST GLOBAL RESTRIBUTION OF WEALTH do not deserve to hold ANY public office.
And yes that damn well goes for Newt Gingrich too.
If we'd made Socialized Medicine (and opposition to it) a campaign item in 2008, Obama would have had a tougher campaign. Nope. Had to sit on the Reagan quotes until the week before the bill went through the House.
Too little. Too late. Never surrender the debate. MAKE it a campaign issue. Everything else is just campaign slogans and graphic arts.
Way off on a tangent. Don’t dispute what you wrote, but my concern is as my tagline states.
Just now on Fox, Gay Ca. AG Moonbeam wants to know how much UC is paying Palin to speak. Interesting liberals speak all the time at the colleges and SEIU’s Brown never asked how much they are paid.
The marxist administration and obots will find a way to stop all conservative speech or opposition to Obama one way or another.
Everyone just hear Pataki needs a million signatures with emails to take to congress to repeal healthcare?
So someone shows up with a “I won’t pay for infanticide” sign and you do what? Leave? You control the tea parties?
A million signatures?
So long as there is no reason to validate those names and emails. I mean, where in the Constitution say that you have to provide PROOF that your email is genuine?
“Revere America”
Former New York Gov. George Pataki (R) says he won’t challenge Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D) for her Senate seat this fall.
It’s yet another potential challenger who has decided not to run against Gillibrand, despite her unimpressive poll numbers. Polls showed her losing to several potential Republican candidates, including Pataki.
Pataki will instead form a national organization aimed at repealing health care reform law, he told the Wall Street Journal. The organization is called Revere America.
Revere America, he said, will launch in Boston this Sunday, the anniversary of Paul Revere’s ride. Its first effort will be to collect one million signatures on a petition to repeal the reform law, Pataki said,
If you sign a petition they check for validation.
What do you mean no reason to validate? Pataki wants real signatures as anyone who has a petition would want. None of this ACORN mickey mouse type of signatures.
I don’t get the email part. Maybe fox got that part wrong. Or maybe that is Pataki’s start of his Revere America movement and he wants to email everyone.
I kind think some of these politicians have found out they can make more money as a voice than in any elective position. But that’s okay with me. They can say what they want without Obama threatening them with their jobs.
It was sarcasm. If birthers are going to be taken to task for wanting “proof”, then those who challenge whether Pataki’s petition is genuine should likewise be shamed and blamed.
I agree, trust AND VERIFY.
The Tea Party should be blocking any Dem or GOP candidate from attending...they are choosing the wrong people to support.
The Tea Party is not the RNC.
*******
I guess I am a birther.
All I want is for President Obama to give Hawaii officials unconditional permission to release his Hawaii long form birth certificate, the one with the doctor signature and hospital name on it. Is that too much to ask of the President of the United States, Obama?
As I see it, if 2012 presidential candidate Obama refuses to attach his Hawaii long form birth certificate to his applications to run in state-run Democratic primaries, many states may not even allow Obama to put his name on the primary ballot or the 2012 Nov. presidential ballot.
Just wondering: When Obama is forced sometime in the future to publicly release his Hawaii long form birth certificate, and we don't' see a doctor signature or a hospital name, will the "publicity seeker" receive a public apology from her numerous critics, an apology that says that she was right all along? Sadly, I doubt it.
I vote. Do you?
I don’t fault Orly for her desire to see the long form birth certificate. I condemn her unconscionable behavior.
Not really.
No, I would not leave but I would let that person know I don’t think they are helping the cause.
If it continues to happen and the Tea Party seems to be being diluted by too many issues, I would discontinue support of Tea Party and support the individual causes I believe in instead.
I don’t think I’m alone. But the Tea Party is welcome to take that chance.
