Activist who challenges Obama's citizenship (Orly Taitz) is booted from Tax Day Tea Party
LA Times ^ | 04/13/2010 | Seema Mehta

After candidates complain to organizers, Orly Taitz's speaking engagement is withdrawn. Taitz has been a leading voice in the discredited 'birther' movement.

(snip)

One candidate threatened to withdraw from the event before Tuesday's decision to uninvite Taitz. John Dennis, who is running for the Republican nomination to oppose House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco, said he would not appear on the same stage as Taitz.

"The presence of a discredited publicity seeker on the same platform with patriotic Americans distorts the focus of our movement, distracts from our common message and gives ammunition to those who continue to question our legitimacy," Dennis said in a statement.

The presence of a discredited publicity seeker. . .

Hmmm. . .just how has he been discredited? I've not heard any announcement that ZerO produced his birth certificate.

“”...gives ammunition to those who continue to question our legitimacy...””

yeah right. if only the media runs out of ammo, they’ll acept it as legitimate.

Whether or not one agrees with this gentleman’s position and beliefs, you have to admit that the Tea Party is able to police its own. That is great news.

Can't really fault that description of her.

Because of her antics to date in the courtroom.

This woman is a loon and the farther she is from Tea Party events the better. Maybe she can get a job with Klaymans outfit.

Exactly. People are so naive. The left and their corrupt life partners, the MSM, never run out of ammunition. Haven’t people learned this at long last? If it’s not Newt, it’s DeLay. If it’s not DeLay, it’s Palin, if it’s not Palin, it’s...and so on.

Don’t need the movement hijacked.
It is about government control.

I’m not much of an Orly fan (understatement)...but why are candidate politicians now calling the Tea Party’s shots? And why is the Tea Party listening to them?

Just what we need, a circular firing squad at the time we should be aiming to neutralize Obama’s agenda. Look, regardless of its merits, the birth certificate issue is a political LOSER. Why can’t people get that through their heads? If we are willing to let Obama continue to trample the Constitution as a whole in order to take a stand on Constitutional principle on the birth issue in particular, then we are surely misguided.

I think it’s a good thing.

a leading voice in the discredited 'birther' movement...

Discredited? By blaming the messenger?

They certainly haven't produced a long form birth certificate.

And the media wasn't upset with Democrats asking about whether John McCain or Bobby Jindal meet the citizenship requirements to be President.

I am well educated. I am not part of any 'fringe' element in society. But I firmly believe that everything re: Obama is a lie. We have been spoon-fed this manufactured Manchurian candidate from the beginning by the lame-stream media which purposely failed to vet him because it met their political ideology of destroying America. I don't believe he is a natural-born citizen and I don't believe he was legitimately elected.

I base this on one, and only one fact: If I were running for President I could easily and willingly present my legitimate birth certificate and proof of citizenship from the University of Chicago Lying-in Hospital. He can't, and won't. Case closed. He has assumed the office of President in a fraudulent manner. He should be arrested, charged, indicted, convicted and sentenced. Period.

Taitz will be speaking at our local Tea Party tomorrow:

http://palmspringsteaparty.ning.com/

There are a lot of conservatives in the valley but we are under assault by militant gays. The west end of the valley (Palm Springs) is libtard infested, east end has 2 sanctuary cities. The high population of retirees has kept the place from going to hell entirely.

We shall see what kind of reception Orly gets here. She certainly has every right to speak. I personally wouldn’t have brought her into the event, but I will be there to listen.
