Deutch, who campaigned as a supporter of healthcare reform legislation and of President Barack Obama, easily defeated Republican Ed Lynch and an unaffiliated candidate. Lynch conceded before 10 p.m. before all precincts reported, The Palm Beach Post reported."

I don’t think American “Jews” give a hoot about Israel. They are more like Jews in name only. I would guess that they don’t pay any attention at all the what goes on in Israel, which to them is a hot, dusty unlivable place. They probably can’t understand why anyone would want to live there anyway.

This election was to fill the partial term. There will be new election in Nov. A republican taking this seat is as likely as a republican taking Pelosi’s seat...ain’t going to happen. Stats: 321K reg voters in this distric. Dems outnumber repubs by more than 2 to 1. Final vote: Lynch (R) 33%; Deutch 64%. Turnout, an abysmal 17%.
There are different types of Jews. Some care little about Israel other than it's another quaint place to say they visited.
