CNN Polls conducted here.

Look at the souce: CNN has no credibility. They will do or say anything to maintain access to the White House.

Time Lies Warner Turner CNN located 4 alsorans to spin a predetermined talking point:
"...finds that President Obama leads four potential foes: Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee..."

Three years is an eternity in politics. Who thought in 2005 that Obama would be the Dem candidate or that he would win?

It’s a CNN poll of registered 0bama supporters.
In a rational poll, 0bama would barely beat out ground glass and spot remover.

This is a CNN poll-—and I have a feeling that in a couple of years, it will have changed, big time.
IMHO, it’s kinda stupid to have polls out for a presidential election that is a long ways off...........

How can this possible be? The Polls show Obama's approval ratings at all time lows. He's fallen farther and faster than any president in US history. And yet SOMEHOW he's leading all the Republican challengers. Doesn't make sense.

Your mistake here is taking anything put out by CNN as “credible news”.

I’m surprised BO is only getting 55% against a few people (all of whom have either been villified or softly suggested by the MSM) and none have even announced they are running for POTUS.
We need a bigger boat!

Bottom line as I see it:
1) Probably a bogus poll. Show me the questions and the actual data with the crosstabs and I can slice and dice it pretty much any way you want.
2) Obama’s approval is below 50% which is the kiss of death forany politician. Not necessarily a forgone conclusion, but any candidate below 50% is considered in trouble.
3) All Republicans are with the MOE, so it actually tells very little. Show me a few polls with the same questions over a period of time, not some goofy flash poll, then we’ll talk.

C’mon people, 2012 is two-and-a-half years away. Most of the contenders for the GOP nod in 2012 will likely not even be people considered frontrunners today. Let’s focus on THIS NOVEMBER.

Why is this shocking to anyone? Sure, Obamarx is a moron and people don’t want to vote for him but the GOP choices are:
Romney - passed Obamacare v 1.0 and couldn’t beat McCain
Huckabee - Really? Seriously?
Gingrich - brilliant guy but is the disgraced/polarizing former Speaker
Palin - best conservative of the bunch but a lot of people have an unfavorable opinion of her.
Obamarx loses in “concept” to an “unnamed Republican” but beats all “real” Republicans that are named as front-runners. Huck, Romney nor Gingrich has a chance of winning. Palin will have to go through a huge metamorphosis with the public to have a chance. The best bet is someone like Paul Ryan or Marco Rubio.
