I doubt very strongly that this seat was a pickup for the Republicans under any circumstances. The “gerrymandered” district is so heavily weighted by Jewish senior citizens who would vote Democrat if a “donkey” was running for office. Having said that, shame on the Republicans, the Conservatives, the “Talk Radio” hosts and commentators. fro not getting behind Lynch and maximizing the “conservative” vote. A strong turnout for Lynch or a squeaker victory would have turned Washington, DC upside down. Shame, the country we love is slipping through our fingers for lack of commitment and action by our side. As Tip O'Neil's father famously said, 'all politics is local.' Do you think that national attention would have moved more than 12.3% over to Lynch's column? Maybe if we'd spend $100,000 more there, we'd have converted a few hundred more votes for a 53 - 43.5 defeat.

Did Lynch have some ethical issues, as I've been reading here? Did he not excite conservatives enough as a result? Did he fail to rally us to his cause as Scott Brown famously did? There are TONS of factors here other than blaming Rush and other conservatives for this - let's not beat each other up on this and
