NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) -- Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel lost his bid for a new trial in the 1975 slaying of his 15-year-old neighbor when the state Supreme Court on Monday rejected his appeal that cited a claim implicating two other men.
The court ruled 4-1 against Skakel's request.
Skakel - a nephew of Robert Kennedy's widow, Ethel - was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison in 2002 for fatally beating Martha Moxley with a golf club in 1975 in a wealthy Connecticut suburb

The USA has no chance to be completely safe so long as a single member of that clan is walking free amongst us.

If that slimey, privileged Kennedy had fessed up in the beginning he,under laws in effect at the time, would have spent a few years in some juvenile facility and, once released, his record would have been expunged.

I wonder how much money the Kennedys paid Gitano “Tony” Bryant (and ultimately wasted, it appears) to make up his story.

Skakel’s mistake was to use a golf club instead of a car.

I think it was a pretty clear-cut case, as these cases go. The story as I remember it was that the Skakel family hired a private investigator to check and see if Tommy Skakel was the perp . . . and the investigator came back with a report that basically said: "The good news is that your son Tommy is innocent; the bad news is that your other son Michael was the one who did it."
The findings stayed buried for years until the PI firm fired one of their employees -- and that former employee (who figured he/she was no longer bound by the confidentiality terms of employment) leaked the information to the press.

In his latest attempt at a retrial, he tried to have the court review the claim of some black guy who blamed two other black guys for the murder.
There is no evidence that any of these guys had ever been in this lily white gated enclave of Greenwich in their lives, but some Kennedy needed some black guys to take a fall for him.

The Kennedys have done more to destroy their family name than just about any other actual family I’ve ever heard of.
