Thanks to a war between European brewing companies, it's never been easier to catch a healthy beer buzz. Or get yourself totally sloshed. In November BrewDog, a Scottish microbrewery started three years ago, released a new brand, dubbed Tactical Nuclear Penguin. The beer set a new record by weighing in at a scary 32% alcohol-by-volume, over six times the strength of familiar domestic brands like Budweiser.
...Jim Watt, one of BrewDog's co-founders, says that some 400 bottles of Tactical Nuclear Penguin are in the process of being shipped to a few stores in California and New York City, including a Whole Foods location; about half of the consumers buying beer from the BrewDog website are from the U.S. Watt's eyes are clearly fixed on the American market. "We're keen to push the envelope," says Jim Watt, one of BrewDog's co-founders, "and challenge people's perceptions of how beer can be enjoyed."

I have a can of something somewhere I need to get off my duff and brew now that the weather’s warming up. Gotta get some fresh yeast first.
Good point. A bottle of Glenmoranghie would be better and go farther.
And get their nose hairs waxed.
I’d rather drink Camo than Buttweiser!
If you enjoy beer, as far as taste goes, there is a maximum alcohol level before it takes away from the flavor. If you just want alcohol, you might as well mix Everclear into “Red Flavored” Hawaiian Punch.
But good beer is a blend of flavors, especially bitter and a little astringent, which encourages you to have some more. Even the density of the foam changes the appreciation.
That’s pronounced “Curs” because it tastes like a dog’s bath water might.
When My band is playing long sets, I have a guiness for flavor, and then a coors light to hydrate! Its the sports drink of beers!
Note to self: July R&R. On the way home from the airport stop at liquor store for a BrewDog and a six pack of Gentleman Jack.
Had a sightseeing off day in England. Sat in my room in Stratford-upon-Avon watching a cricket match and drinking 8 cans of Tennent Super (9%). On the one hand, I developed a vicious headache. On the other hand, I learned a lot about cricket (for what that’s worth).
Haggis.
Real men drink Coors
Men who sit to pee I guess.
Okay Freepers which one of you volunteer drink that

When it’s 105 in the shade a Coors Light goes down right.
Most other times I drink Eye of the Hawk from the town of Ukiah, CA.
Fireman’s Brewnette is another preferred beer when I can find it.
A penguin goes into a bar and orders a beer.
The bartender says,”We don’t get many penguins around here.”
The penguin says, “At $53 a bottle you’re not going to see many more.”

I agree. It sounds like beer amped up with everclear to me.
Beer Ping!
A low to medium ping list aimed at all of us who, well, love our beer

Hey Norms you volunteering???? ROFL
i have had some of brewdog’s stuff while in scotland recently, both cask (one) and bottle (numerous). By far the most interesting I had was their Smokehead, which was an imperial stout in islay-originated whisky casks (tastes most like lagavulin, but not sure). It was really nice...enjoyed everything I had by them, though I do think the american 6% style ipa is just too strong for a real ale/pub environment, if you want more than a few.
