President Barack Obama quietly breached years of protocol on Saturday morning by leaving the White House without the press with him.
About two hours before reporters were supposed to be in position to leave with the president, Obama left the grounds of the White House. Members of the press were told he was attending one of his daughter's soccer games in northwest Washington, D.C.
The White House press corps traditionally travels with the president anywhere he goes, inside and outside the country, to report on the president's activities for the benefit of informing the public and for historical record.

“My take? Yes, I believe so. Sarah Palin has someone on her staff now who is very senior, and very savvy and knows the PSY WAR game.”
You mean like the Ancient of Days?
..yeah sure, like word wouldn't leak out and photos show up on the net from other parents attending a youth soccer game....unless they were running around in Burka's
Ouch. The sting of truth.
That a juvenile like Obama is a sitting president means it's time to can his ass, and it can be done. Things and public sentiment can change on a dime. Done rightly and legally, Biden will take his place.
"Slow Joe," that is, but compared to Obama, he looks like a patriot.
I say Amen.

there are “real” things to look at here, such as (1) is the Obama WH telling the truth about why the POTUS disappeared on Sat. am; (2) did he attend his kid’s soccer game at all, and if so was he really there long enough to account for his absence from the WH and his blowing off the WH press pool; (3) were proper USSS and “nuclear” protocols followed; (4) do we have a POTUS who is a serial liar, fabricator, and generally unreliable neo-commie hack? (5) does the media and political class treat this episode just as they would if either Pres. Bush or Pres. Reagan had done about the same thing etc...... (I know, none of them had a child of the same age group in the WH, but I mean did any of them disappear in any analogous way(s) while POTUS and how were such matters handled in the past, etc.)
so please don’t fall for the illusion that the only question is about whether a father went to a child’s soccer game.......
We know Barry misses you and cocaine is probably a bit difficult to get into the White House.
Just like Jeremiah Wright, you know Obamah still loves you.
...keep us posted dude!
Aside, from all the speculation of where BO went.
What about keeping records for the Presidential Archives. If he and most of his people are using electronic devices, ie; blackberry, how does anyone know what he did or directed be done via blackberry. That is something really bothering me. What historic records will there be. We know he wouldn’t be downloading, his daily posts.
HOW do “We the People” know what is really going on?
It’s mighty easy to delete/erase info. Or he may also have several blackberrys’. One for regular Pres. duties and one for other purposes.
Comments anyone?
I would say it was a stupid thing to do, because a President does NOT want to tee off the media. But considering how far the media has it`s head up his butt, this won`t hurt him in their eyes. He could urinate on them, and they would applaud it.
Did he return?
However, much as believing the worst of Putin is an easy template, so far that story best fits an even easier template: immense pressure from powerful superiors pushing a pilot to try something against his best judgement. Poland doesn't have a reputation for lousy pilots and certainly the Presidential plane would get a reputable one. Yet he attempted 4 times to land in zilch visibility, on a field that, independent of the Tu-154, lacked support for instrument landings, while carrying the most important cargo his country could produce and in spite of the tower telling him to go elsewhere. Anyone that boneheaded on their own might, alas, get elected President, but never presidential pilot. The only legit reason to try that would be some desperate in flight emergency, for which so far we have no positive evidence.
His passengers were his country's best and brightest... egos. They were good people, probably great people in many cases, and an immense loss to Poland, but to have reached their positions big egos were likely. They were trying to reach a ceremony of extreme importance to their country. Think of the biggest 911 memorial, except that the death toll at Katyn was ten times greater, from a much smaller population, and even more highly selected from their elite. Being late, even for good reasons, would not make these egos feel good, nor look good. All of Poland, probably literally, would be watching. Elections were forthcoming. The crash came 33 minutes before the ceremony was due to start; diverting assured missing the event. THESE Poles, going to THIS event, couldn't stand that based on claims by 'mere da*m RUSSIAN ATC.' And there was a key precedent. President Lech Kaczyński when flying to Georgia during its crisis, was put down, against his direct Presidential order, at an alternate airport due to 'flight conditions', resulting in a long car ride. He had that pilot court martialed! Although the pilot was eventually cleared, I bet this pilot was thinking about that when his passengers got their pride up.
Now the media won't push the above scenario (I found it roughed out on the military forum at airliner.net .) It's much more diplomatic to have the poor pilot take one for the team than to blame the martyred leaders. Barring positive evidence for some mechanical failure, in which case Putin suddenly looks worse than the Pope, I bet this will be blamed on the pilot, but really is the fault of the passengers. In which case there'd be no obvious need for Ø to meet with that hypothetical handler.
Well, to tell the truth, we did keep a box of baking soda here right next to the mousepad yesterday to put out any sudden fires. Thanks. I don't know what got into me, but I hope it happens again! ;-)
Maybe he had a secret meeting about his eligibility problem.
Is that a White Sox jacket he was wearing even though he could not name a single player on any White Sox team (when asked by Ron Dibble)?
I think the pressure of not being adorned for every word he utters is getting to him. I suspect he is taking something for some “relief” (read booze or drugs) and it is showing in his face. Sometimes he looks quite drained/hungover to me.
