To our Polish friends.
God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.
Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for Lech Kaczynski and his wife,
who perished in the plane crash in western Russia,
and for all the dead known to You alone.
In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
I pray for Your enduring love and comfort
for the Nation of Poland
and for Polish Natives living in foreign lands
who are devastated by the loss of their President.
I pray for those of Polish descent where ever they live
as they, too, experience this tragedy in the Country
of their heritage.
And when by Your command we also return to dust,
unite us all together as one eternal family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.
Amen.
I think the word I would express is..Empty.
I feel empty.
May their memories be eternal...
I have always had a warm place in my heart for the people of Poland, and my heart is breaking today.
A terrible loss for the Polish people and Americans! Prayers up.
I know where Poland, OH is. :-)
Cool! That’s where I was raised. When I was a kid we had to take Poland history, and we learned where our proud name came from. :)
Prayers for our Polish friends.
Amen.
I want to express my sorrow and condolances over your terrible loss. May God bless, comfort, and protect the Polish People.
Ever read Poland by Michener? I learned a lot of their history and one thing I learned is the tenacity and intelligence of the Polish people despite constantly being crapped on by all its neighbors. Poland deserves a lot of respect. I hope this terrible tragedy wont keep them down.
Praying for Poland.
Prayers for the nation of Poland and especially the families of the decessed.
Very shocking. God be with the people of Poland.
Nothing really profound to say, but just wanted to express my condolences, and wishing Poland all the best. A tragic history to that country, but they keep getting back up. I know they will get through this.
Thank you for this thread, CRZ.
Praying today for all of my family’s relatives still in Poland along with all of their countrymen, and indeed for ALL Poles around the world who are in shock and grieving over this tremendous loss - felt not only by Poland, but truly by so many around the world.
To the Polish citizens specifically - please know you have many friends praying for you here in the US, especially.
My deepest heartfelt condolences to all who were personally close to any who died in this horrible tragedy.
LONG LIVE POLAND!
I am adopted and don’t know my own heritage. My husband is 100% Polish — at our wedding a close family friend who immigrated (snuck out) to the US from Soviet-occupied Poland as a child with his mother told me; “NOW, you are officially Polish, too!” Anyway, I have adopted Poland as my own heritage because we know for sure all my daughters are at least 50% Polish. This is a very sad day...
My deep condolences.
Prayers up for the people of Poland.
