Palin: 'Absolutely' more policy speeches to come
CNN ^ | Friday April 9, 2010 | Peter Hamby

New Orleans (CNN) - Will Americans start to hear more policy speeches from Sarah Palin in the future?

"Absolutely," Palin told CNN in a brief interview outside her New Orleans hotel on Friday. "The more of that, the better."

The former Alaska governor chatted for a few moments after wrapping up her speech to the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, a showing that was closely scrutinized by political insiders looking for clues as to whether she's serious about a presidential bid in 2012.(No Peter, she was responding to Obama's feign attempt to triangulate domestic oil production)

She devoted much of her remarks to the topic of energy policy, a move possibly designed to prove to Republican insiders that she's as passionate about policy issues as she is about fiery political combat.

Palin, emerging from the Windsor Court Hotel wearing a zip-up NASA sweater over her suit, told CNN she had a "blast" addressing the conference and promised to continue with a policy-oriented message.

"It was fun to talk to people of something of substance, like energy, that is so appreciated by these folks because they know that unless we have this energy independence, we will not be prosperous, we will not be secure," she said. "That's what I wanted to concentrate on today."

The passage of ObamaCare changed everything and I can’t understand Mitt being the guy NOW, based on his own policy and legislation not his personality, or his religion or how somebody sounds or talks none of that, His signature on a massive piece of legislation!!

SALLY QUINN....is the woman who trashed Sarah on O’Rielly tonight...what a prune.

LOL! Not the word I would have chosen, but then that kind of language is frowned upon here.

True, what they forget is Sarah has a little more invested in this than the rest i.e. what they did to her up in AK. Sarah is on a take no prisons approach. If they don’t like it to bad because the Palin train will just run you over.

Remember when I would say how tough as nails Palin was up here in Ak as Governor, she was awful strong as mayor too. After she resigned, everybody but a few like yourself wrote her off. Now people will begin to see the real deal Palin.

Well, I was partly right, I said a book on policy was coming out in spring.

Guess it’s speeches instead of a book. That’s better anyway.

I believed Sarah when she said she would run if America wanted her to. Still do, so none of the carping bothers me.

In fact it envigorates me, even the stuff here on FR.

SALLY QUINN....is the woman who trashed Sarah on O’Rielly tonight...what a prune

The beauty of all this is, Sally Quinn was a no talent bimbo, who get hired at the WaPo solely in her looks. ( She'd never written anything in her life before then.) Subsequently, she proceeded to seduce her married boss, who then eventually left his wife for Sally Quinn. Yet this woman has no compunction whatsoever trashing Sarah Palin.

American Specator:
But fear not! A “month or so later” when the Post was looking for “someone to cover parties” in Washington, “Sally Quinn's name resurfaced.” She was, Bradlee tells us, “perfectly suited for the job.” Perfectly suited, that is, “except for one small problem.” The problem? “[S]he had never written a word in her life.” So. The hot-looking Ms. Quinn, whose looks Bradlee says could make his working life “difficult,” gets hired to write at the Washington Post, one of the most prestigious and powerful papers of the day. Even though Sally not only can't take shorthand but can't write either. Says Bradlee: “Nobody’s perfect.
-snip-
Got it. What happens next?
Says Ben: “...I had reached another one of those critical forks in the road. One way involved staying with Tony [that would be Tony Pinchot Bradlee, Ben's wife], the woman I had once loved, the mother of two of my children, and trying to rekindle happiness. The other way involved recognizing that I had fallen in love, and that meant exploring a different life with Sally....” What did Ben do? “My solution was to move into a hotel for a month and then into an apartment in the Watergate complex. Sally joined me there...”

Yes, "you betcha" I remember and you were right!

She's hitting her stride now, isn't she?

Sarah Palin, all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C.

Yes, antceecee. We must pray continuously for all of them and for one another.

I keep Sarah at the top of my list, right up there with Bibi.

Its real early yet. What I admire is the gumption and sense of purpose to advance the conservative cause that Sarah exhibits. Dick Cheney, Newt Gingrich and other conservative warriors have had their time in the light( and haul the attendant baggage, like so many barges in tow) and the baton needs to be passed to the next generation.

Young fiery conservatives are what we need.

The limelight takes a toll on the too young and ungrounded. The liberal media watches for any slip, because by our own standards and values we are held to a stricter guideline than our competition. We do not subscribe to situational ethics. We can’t field a compromised candidate.

To date, she appears to me to be God’s David ready to go straight up with Goliath. If God’s annointing is with her she will be unstoppable.

Mitt is not the guy NOW... his time came and went with the evil wind of government controlled healthcare.

On an earlier thread it was revealed that both Romney and Ron Paul have paid conference fees for young people to attend and vote for them in an upcoming straw poll. We saw the same tactics used at CPAC.

On the other hand, Sarah does not need any such bribery to excite an audience as she did this afternoon.

Funny moment (best one of many IMO): Look at minute 47:00 on the CSpan tape.
