THE POST & EMAIL THINKS NOT
The Hawaii Department of Health continues to ignore and stonewall legitimate requests for information which under its UIPA law should be made available to a requester within ten days.
Mr. John Charlton, our Editor-in-Chief, has made three requests for such information from the Health Department beginning in early March which the Health Department either says it does not understand or to which it has failed to respond at all.
On February 26, 2010, Mr. Charlton published an article demonstrating the Health Departments increasing reluctance to comply with UIPA requests. He had asked for copies of handwritten pages from the Birth Index maintained before Hawaiis birth records were computerized and had offered to pay for the cost of obtaining them. Specifically, he was looking for anyone with the surnames Payne, Dunham, Soetoro and Obama.
Instead, the Health Department sent a PDF file of births with the parents names redacted. None of the names for which Mr. Charlton had asked appeared on the list, although Mr. Charlton had obtained information independently that at least one person with one of the last names had been born during the period in question.
Since that time, Mr. Charlton has made three more requests to the Hawaii Department of Health, none of which has been addressed. The PDF which Janice Okubo, the Health Departments Public Information Officer, released to Mr. Charlton did not contain the information he had requested.
On March 4, 2010, Mr. Charlton sent the Hawaii Health Department the following email:

It is going to take a herculean effort to get the established media, government, and the judiciary to honestly look at Obama’s past.
What needs to be done is to physically hold their heads in place that they have no choice but to open their eyes, metaphorically speaking. Easier said than done though.
Here’s the link for the records retention schedule. I wanted to upload it as a PDF so people could make the print larger for readability but between me being a computer moron and my computer doing a lot of strange stuff lately, this was the best I could do:

Bgill, do you think the vital records ledger, VCR-3b, might be what we actually need?

Very interesting.
LucyT - check out jcsjcm’s comment!
RS - have you read comment 36 yet?
Yes, I read it. I believe Lakin’s courageous stand will get more witnesses to step forward as that post above testifies. A lawyer for Lakin should depose his testimony for the court.
Hey, LJ!
Did you see the troll world weary get zotted?
I agree, but you have to take congress before any move in this dirrection could even be made. Otherwise, with the dims in charge, it will continued to be covered up.
The Drew story is interesting, because it has certain elements of truth ... or at least potential truth. I’ve been thinking that Obama may have been born in transit. It makes sense because under standard procedures, the final destination, so to speak, can be legally claimed as the place of birth. A ship pass, plane ticket or a captain’s affadavit might have been all that was needed to ‘verify’ the birth. The port of departure then becomes the city of birth (and no hospital, doctor or midwife).
I believe SAD’s friend, Susan Blake, said something about receiving a postcard from SAD who was on a ship at the time. And it struck me as odd that Mombasa would be claimed as a place of birth since Barak Sr. lived closer to Nairobi. If you were going to make up a story that Obama was born in Kenya, you would pick Barak Sr.’s hometown or the closest city. If they were in Mombasa, maybe they were traveling by ship and had to depart from there since it’s a seaport.
Then it’s reported that Tammy Duckworth said Obama was born in Indonesia, like herself. Also, spokesbabe Janice Okubo made an offhand comment that if you were born in Bali, your COLB would say you were born in Bali. Well, Bali is part of Indonesia. How odd she would pick a country where Obama had actually lived. Maybe she was telling the truth about where Obama was really born.
So now I’m thinking, what if Obama was born en route ... if you traveled from Mombasa across the Indian Ocean, you might stop in Bali (or another part of Indonesia). Of course, it’s possible that if you were flying, you might have connecting flights through Indonesia too. But either way, maybe the baby is born en route, but later claims any one of several different cities or countries as your place of birth to different people. I’ve never been convinced that Obama knows for sure where he was born, so maybe he’s just told different stories to whoever wants to listen. Granny Dunham just made sure to register her daughter’s baby in Hawaii to make sure he would be an American citizen. Just thinking out loud ...
Yeah, by JR himself. It was greatly satisfying. :-)
You are mistaken. A bill cannot become law without signature. If a President does not act, it is a pocket veto.
I’m sorry, but you are mistaken.
A Pocket Veto is when the President fails to sign a bill within the 10 days allowed by the Constitution.
Congress must be in adjournment in order for a pocket veto to take effect.
If Congress is in session and the president fails to sign the bill, it becomes law without his signature.
LOL...indeed it was!
Great find, jcsjcm. Thanks for your post.

. . . .Just sayin'.
Check out # 36 .
Here is a statement, quoted by jcsjcm, - especially interesting since no one else has ever said they saw Stanley Ann and 0, Senior together, except ... ah ... one politician ... whose name is forgotten. (A...?sp)
"I met Obamas mother and father in 1961 right after they came back from Africa with their baby who was born in Africa."

[Thanks little jeremiah, and jcsjcm.]
Off topic, but the marriage would still be legal if the man and woman married in good faith, believing the preacher to be qualified/certified to perform the ceremony.
The example you're looking for is a man who is married to one woman who marries another woman without telling her about his first wife. Because he did not act in good faith, the marriage would be void.
Being on a ship certainly makes more sense than a single mother with a days-old baby boarding a plane in 1963.
That's been my trouble with the born-in-Kenya story from day one....how did baby Barry get to Hawaii? They just didn't let newborns fly in 1963.
Wonder if maybe the ship was going from Kenya to Seattle, with a stopover in Hawaii? We know SAD was in Seattle just a few weeks after Barry's birth...and interestingly she didn't know how to change the baby's diapers. Odd, you'd think she'd have that figured out within a couple days.
Wonder if anybody's done any searching on ship's manifests from Mombasa to Hawaii or Seattle around that timeframe. I don't know how long they keep manifests, though...A FOIA request through US Customs might shed some light.
Good point, but wouldn't the couple have to marry again to make it legal?
I can see where any contract the couple might have entered into as a married entity would still be valid but since their marriage certificate was signed by some one unlicensed to do so , wouldn't that have to be corrected?
Apples and oranges vis a vis bammie but an interesting scenario none the less.
Are you thinking of Neil Abercrombie, esteemed(!) Democrat candidate for Governor of Hawaii?
He returned on BOAC out of Nairobi connecting in Glaskow Scotland to Vancouver BC. His passport problem was getting across the border at Blaine Washington in a car.
Pinging a couple of you.
