Unsurprisingly, Newsweek editor Jon Meacham bowed deeply to New Yorker editor David Remnick and his new book on their agreed-upon hero, Barack Obama: "envy gives way to admiration" of Remnick’s skills, he wrote in his "Top of the Week" commentary in the magazine. Meacham hyped the notion that when asked about the "racial component of the opposition," Obama told Remnick "I tend to be fairly forgiving about the anxiety that people feel about change."

The so called main stream media has devolved into a propaganda machine for the left. This is just another institution that has detached itself from society, reality, and most of its customer base.
A "news" media that reflects the propaganda of the state rather than reporting the news is not good for society as a whole, and simply hastens its own demise.

I think that while the Tea Party crowd hasn’t intellectually realized the truth of their gut concern, down deep inside they’re coming to realize that there’s no place for them in the world of political ideas in the U.S.; it’s as though they’ve awakened in a foriegn country without so much as even a consulate to appeal to. And by hammering on the race card I think the liberals are unwittingly creating a growing realization in the minds of many that “white christian” america will never be allowed to live down the legacy of slavery in the U.S. And in this process, the liberals are essentially tearing this country apart.

Newsweek is so irrelevant (sp), i suppose once it had some influence, but now hardly any now.
Anyone who IS afraid of the future should snap out of it. Don't "fear" it, prepare for what lies ahead and what may be required of you to make it the future you want, not the future the Statists want to impose on you.

I am not wanting things in my future that resemble “1984”, “Animal Farm”, “Zemyata”, “Brave New World”, “Clockwork Orange”, “Soylent Green”, “Logans Run”, “Fahrenheit 451”, “Brazil”, “THX1138”,
or any other dystopia-styled future. No, I don’t believe anyone should be looking forward to that. I think they have a few screws loose if they do.

When Congress buys the votes of the undertaxed, there IS a reason to be concerned about having no "consulate to appeal to".
Meacham is an over educated, thoughtless drone for communism. I’ve seen this idiot on Morning Joe. I don’t think the man has ever had an original thought, but he has a very good education. He can spout lots of facts, and recognize lots of things through his education. Unfortunately, Mr. Meacham hasn’t assimilated his learning into thought so that he can be more than a lick spittle.
It was Christian preachers that led the movement for the abolishment of slavery. Just as they stand up for the children who are aborted (50million dead since 1973 in the US alone).
“Newsweek”... hmmmm...isn’t that the spunky little rag that moved itself to the left of “Mother Jones” some years ago? Don’t remember much of it, so it must be pretty irrelevant.
