The Institute for Race Relations reports that there's hundreds of thousands of young whites missing in South Africa. Newsweek also reports on the mass exodus of white, skilled families, asking: 'why are the brightest leaving this most successful state?"
The South African Institute for Race Relations says this week that the young white men -- aged 24 to 34 have mostly left the country now, and that there now are many more older white men than younger ones - when the reverse is the case in normal societies without wars.
There are two main reasons for this demographic oddity: the relentless murder campaign waged by heavily-armed, well organised black male gangs against white farmers: the latest murder toll is 3,038; together with the mass exodus of white, working-age families from South Africa ever since 1994 -- and which Digital Journal has also often reported about just recently.
This week's Newsweek feature article by Scott Johnson , headlined "Fleeing from South Africa,' asks: ' Fourteen years after apartheid, why are the best and the brightest leaving Africa's most successful state?" He writes: "The South African government doesn't keep reliable emigration statistics. But even as the global financial crisis has caused emigration from most other countries to slow, a number of recent independent studies show that mass departures from South Africa are ongoing and are sapping the nation of its skilled and best-educated young citizens.
"The most dramatic figures can be found among South African whites, who are leaving at a pace consistent with the advent of "widespread disease, mass natural disasters or large-scale civil conflict," according to a report by the South African Institute on Race Relations," he writes.
Destruction of an entire ethnic minority:
What Newsweek doesn't say however, is that more than 90% of all those 'whites' who have left, are actually Afrikaans-speakers, close-knit, often deeply religious members of a very distinct ethnic minority who view themselves as an independent nation, with their own language, culture and a very unique history. This exodus of 'whites' thus also marks the dissipation, the destruction of an entire ethnic minority in South Africa which has lived there since the 17th century.
The young generation of Afrikaners is being forced out of the country of their birth, and not only face the heartbreak of leaving their beloved continent behind them forever, but also having to leave their aging parents behind.
Newsweek continues:
"Some 800,000 out of a total white population of 4 million have left since 1995, by one count," he reports, adding: : "...this wasn't supposed to happen.. but (emigration) has been accentuated by a violent crime epidemic, serious political upheaval and economic globalization. A poll conducted last May among 600 people of different races, ages and genders (in South Africa) found that 20 percent were leaving the country'.
Crime, murders, rapes:
Sheepfarmer Johnny Cilliers in South Africa discovered his lawyer-dad tortured to death at his smallholding on February 16 2009. The dad, a lawyer who works at Cullinan law court, was hogtied, strangled, tortured and shot three times - in one of the many murders targetting white Afrikaners in South Africa since 1994.
"The primary driver for emigration among all groups, but especially whites (...) is fear of crime. With more than 50 killings a day, South Africa has one of the highest per capita murder rates in the world."
He continues: "The same goes for rape —ranking the country alongside conflict zones such as Sierra Leone, Colombia and Afghanistan."
Future Fact polling indicates that more than 95 percent of those eager to leave South Africa rate violent crime as the single most important factor affecting their thinking. )
Lynette Chen, the ethnic-Chinese CEO of Nepad Business Group, is the only member of her family left in South Africa. Her parents departed in 2002 after being carjacked—twice. Her brother, also a victim of crime, followed suit shortly thereafter. "They're always getting homesick," she says. "But they won't come back unless the crime is reduced."
White farmers attacked:
"Another largely unnoticed problem is the growing number of attacks on South Africa's white farmers. As in neighbouring Zimbabwe, some ... appear to be racially motivated. The result is that white farmers' numbers continue to decrease...' (see our previous report here) "Then there's the problem of affirmative action, which many whites feel limits their opportunities for advancement and which keeps many émigrés from returning. "You can attract people home, but there are still the same concerns when they get here," Chen says. "Crime and lack of job opportunities if you're not the right color." see
The SAIRR spokesman Frans Cronjé slammed the Newsweek article's as 'putting South African in a poor light', especially over its comment that 'white South Africans leave the country at a pace consistent with the advent of "widespread disease, mass natural disasters or large-scale civil conflict,"
However, he also felt that the Newsweek article raised a very important issue, and that it created awareness of the fact that so many white well-educated citizens have left the country.'
"The article shows the seriousness of the brain drain - and that the underlying causes must be urgently addressed,' Cronjé said.
Especially Afrikaner whites are increasingly leaving the country of their birth. The New Zealand and Australian embassies frequently hold emigration seminars, which are always overcrowded.
He also confirmed that most of the country's white South Africans aged between 24 to 40 have already left the country - some 750,000 -- since 1994. An entire generation of whites basically have now left the country, and there indeed are many more older white men, aged above 60 years, than young ones left in the country.
And now, a second wave of young emigrants is also beginning to leave, he said: young coloured and Indian families; together with the recent graduates among the black middle-class, are also departing.
However managing director Martine Schaffer of the Homecoming Revolution - launched by a South African banking group to try and lure its best customers back to the country -- slammed the report as 'last year's old news', describing it as sensationalised, inaccurate.." Although her organisation does not maintain any registers to back up her claims, she says there is no real brain-drain. There was a brief exodus from South Africa after the election of Jacob Zuma as leader of the ANC, xenophobic attacks, and Zimbabwe's economic crisis, ' she told the Afrikaans weekly Rapport today.
However, she denies that there has been a steady exodus of whites since 1994. And, she claims that due to the global financial crisis, many now are clamouring to return.

What does that have to do with “English comprehension”? There are many neighborhoods that I would not want to visit. Many are within a short drive from my home and are filled with white methheads. According to your logic, I guess I better start distrusting white people...or Hispanic people, they join gangs too—right? Who else should I mistrust, O wise one? Asians? AR->I don't know for certain, but I think you have exceptions in most of the Caribbean islands....where you don't hear about a lot of violence against whites, who are a small minority living there.
I've only been to two. In the Cayman islands I felt safe everywhere. There were no black people or white people, there were just people. We had good conversations with lots of different people of all colors.
In Jamaica I felt unsafe almost everywhere. We did get out to the street markets and tried to get off the beaten path a little but there was no where near the 'comfort level' that I had in Caymans.
I have heard that the Bahama's are pretty similar to the Caymans. Apparently some of these islands are more civilized than others.
The problem is, we take generations of education, religion and culture found in white societies for granted--when our ancestors were barbarians once too--a thousand and more years ago.

They did not have the traditions of freedom ingrained into them yet and quickly reverted back to tribalism. Yep. Anacostia is rough camp. Yet tons and tons of non-black people work in SE DC and somehow they make it home alive each and every day.
SE is more that anacostia. The Navy Yard area has been gentrified in the last few years and during daylight hours is pretty safe and clean. I don't know of tons and tons of whites who work in anacostia. In fact during the few times I've been down there, I never saw another white person there. (I somehow always ended up missing a turn on 395 and ending up on Pensylvania ave in Anacostia)
You use Harlem & Watts because you probably live in some lily-white nowhere and are scared to death to leave it.

I do live in a lily-white area at present. It may be way out in the middle of nowhere, but it is not a "nowhere'

They report two "separate" events as if somehow they aren't related. The question is "Why are they leaving" and one of the reasons they give is "because they are leaving". There is only one reason they are leaving and that is because they are being killed off by the blacks.
It is always the way in Africa, once the blacks gain control the reaction to being in control is to slaughter the whites and completely f*** up the country.
When the Brits and the Dutch were in charge, at least the "states" were civilized and kept the people from starving.

If a statement is true, is it racist? (For the moment lets ignore the leftist rule that any negative statement about blacks is by definition racist)
If I say "as a percentage of their repective populations there are more black men in prison than white men" is that racist? Or is it just true?
If I say "Rhodesia was a prosperous wealthy country until Mugabe kicked out the white farmers (and most other whites) and now it is poverty stricken" is that racist? or is it true?
If I say "South Africa was a prosperous country, safe for the vast majority of it's citizens (even under aparthied), until external pressures forced the country to changee it's ways, handing over the reigns of government to people who apparently were not ready to rule themselves (as demonstrated by the fact that they have done very poorly at maintaining the safety and the prosperity) and is now trending into the same cesspool as Rhodesia" is that racist? or is it true?
So far I stand that all these statments are true and not racist. (Remember we are not leftists here)
Now, Do blacks in this country tend to go tribal when they have a population majority? From my experience, and from what I read here and see on the broadcast and local news, the answer is yes. Far too often we see some white kid beat half to death by a group of blacks (or by one black) for no real reason.
Even though this is not all inclusive, that is, there are groups of blacks that act civilly under all circumstances (usually republican voters oddly enough), it is true enough that most white people are very nervous when placed in those neighborhoods.
So is that racist? or is that true? Again, I aver that it is true and not racist.
If we can't point out the truth, then we can never fix the problem.
Well, when the Chinese invade then the blacks will actually be able to scream racism with justification, but the Chinese won’t bend over no matter what the rest of the world does.
Unfortunately that may be the only hope for Africa. Since the west has become too wussified to help these people someone needs to.
Of course they'll be trapped in communism for a few decades but hopefully they will have learned something between now and then.
But they won’t care about the Africans; they will likely throw them off the land and then get very nasty if the Africans cause trouble.

I personally know of 6 white people from the 20 households on my street (in South Africa) who have left the country.
I thought UK had high crime.
The combined MURDER rate for Johannesburg and Pretoria alone is over 40 people per DAY. The rapings and muggins and other crimes are multiples of that value. I personally knew 9 people who were murdered.
It’s sad to know the combined population of our two cities is still smaller in number when compared to London.
Johannesburg: 3.9 million citizens
Pretoria: 2.3 million citizens
London: 7.5 million citizens
