McCain actually had the nerve to say this a few days ago:

“President Reagan granted amnesty to two million people and that was wrong,” McCain said.

I neither support, nor like John McCain, and believe that he has been, and will continue to be, a shortsighted and self serving politician....You’re preaching to the guy that bought tickets for, and sits in, the Box Seat Section of Reagan’s Conservative Stadium.....

Reagan was quoted later, in a conversation reported by his son Michael, as regretting his signing of Ted Kennedy’s Amnesty Bill. Reagan believed it was his worst political mistake. Yes Ronnie it was, and it bears remembering how disasterious Amnesty would be for our nation.
