Its time to quick calling rape date-rape. Anyone who rapes my daughter had better not let me get to him.

Rape of any kind is NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ever acceptable!

It incenses me that anyone would protect this hideous, barbaric act! RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Why would you let your daughter get into any situation where such is possible?

Yes agree, I would shoot the son of a bi... that tries this with my daughter.

Also men need to be real men, and tell their sons that this type of behavior is a criminal act and intolerable.

It happens way too often.

I’m with you.

Part of the problem is feminists have so over-used and diluted the term “rape” that it has lost its meaning.

Rape is rape. Its either rape, or its not. Quit hyphenating (date-rape, acquaintance-rape, grey-rape, statutory-rape). And, feminists will often use the term “rape” to refer to an act that is decidedly not rape (drunken regret, reluctant consent, negotiated/cajoled consent, non-payment of a prostitute, marital contact when she’s not “in the mood”, etc.). False rape claims have further made the term suspect.

There is also a feminist tendency to apply the label “victim-blaming” to any advised safety precautions for women, or any investigation into the voracity of a rape allegation. “Don’t get drunk at a frat party” (or at all); “Don’t walk alone at night”; “Avoid dressing too provocatively or leading on some guy you don’t know.” These are all good precautionary ideas, but feminists will call them “victim-blaming”, and act as if such ideas are masked justfication for raping a sluttily-dressed, drunk or unaccompanied woman.

Given all of that — well-intentioned conservatives, who are justifiably suspect of feminism due to its more insidious aspects, have also become suspect of the word “rape” ... because, just because a feminist calls it “rape” doesn’t mean it actually was rape. This has unfortunatley caused many conservatives to become callous to actual instances of rape (date or otherwise) ... and sympathetic to accused rapists, sleazy frat-guys, and bone-headed columnists like the tool who wrote this article.

Rapists are scum, and deserve what they get. Women who dress a certain way, get drunk, or behave a certain way do not deserve to be raped ... this includes girls at frat parties, drunk girls, and even prostitutes. Conservatives should be more sympathetic to victims in this regard ... and more hostile to the criminal.

However, drunken regret IS NOT rape. So ... feminists should stop labeling non-rapes “rape”, stop hyphenating actual rapes, stop justifying false rape claims, and stop calling any investigation or safety-tips “victim-blaming”.
