Residents of a small Mexican border town under siege by at least one of the countrys most notorious drug cartels are fleeing into a tiny Texas community, which is on high alert and preparing for a surge of illegal immigrants should a street battle break out with another cartel or if gunmen begin carrying out a threat to start killing the towns children.
At least 30 residents of El Porvenir, located about four miles from the Texas border town of Fort Hancock, have crossed into the U.S. and asked for political asylum, telling authorities that they fear for their lives. Fort Hancock officials tell FoxNews.com that they consider the situation serious.

See ya at the signing!
Alas, citizens of AZ and SC are unable to understand this or just plain uninterested, or they would not have the twin senators there in the first place.
Yes, the Bush-Rove fallout has been as deadly to us as the kind of fallout JFK railed about in 1962.
Better yet, send all the new IRS agents. (2 birds, one stone)
Unbelievable that the Dem congress hires bean counters to go after safe US citizens — with a job, yet !!! -— when we need our borders protected.
2008 I held my nose and voted for McCain, never again.
F__K McLame and Grahamnesty! The two of them have done as much damage to this country as any Dem.
As much as I despised Ted Kennedy, you knew he was liberal, he told you. McCain and Graham pretend to be conservative before election time hoping no one remembers their votes in congress.
I've never emailed McPain directly. Pandsey takes about 6 weeks to answer an email and he does it via snail mail. What a waste. Of course his letters are a waste also.
Where the hell are out Helicopter gun ships? Instead of arresting Christians in Minnesota lets get some law down here on our freekin borders!
Hey Mexico, how’s gun control working for you?
Obama does nothing to protect the US or keep borders secure. Says that is the state's responsibility. No matter what the US Constitution says, leftists make up their own rules as they go along.
Where the hell are out Helicopter gun ships?
If they run, they’re illegals . If they stay still, they’re well disciplined illegals
Sounds like he should updgrade to Apaches.

” This has been brewing for a few days....finally being reported.
It is now getting real ugly on the border. Thanks to all our Open Borders/Amnesty friends (I’m talking to you John McCain, Lindsey Graham)
I own land not too far from Fort Hancock. It will be sad that my land will be overrun by Drug Cartels and tehir trafficking.”
I’m so sorry to hear that, UCF. This could have all been prevented, and I fear it will get much worse before it gets better. I understand El Paso is overrun with ‘refugees’ and the cartel thugs are coming with them.
The guy who killed our people from the Mexico embassy had lived in El Paso for 30 years, an illegal alien, who followed them into Mexico under orders from Mexico.

It’s time for Otto Mcnab to cross the river and kill Benito Garza once and for all time.
What Texas needs is a revival of the old time Rangers that grew up slaying Mexican bad guys.
Ping!
Maybe McCain is not playing with a full deck.
