Former President Bill Clinton's top political strategists, who had a front-row seat for the Republicans' 1994 electoral successes, said Wednesday that the GOP today is peaking too early and is unlikely to see a repeat performance this November.
Pollster Stan Greenberg said a "change election," as political scientists call major shifts in electoral preferences, already happened when Republican Scott Brown's surprise victory for Sen. Edward M. Kennedy's Senate seat, and between then and November, Democrats will have gained back ground.
"When we look back on this, we're going to say Massachusetts is when 1994 happened," Mr. Greenberg said.

“Peak THIS!”
LOL. So a Democratic pollster thinks we are peaking. They don’t get what is coming. This isn’t a wave that crests and breaks. This is a landslide that is just getting started.
They are just trying to demoralize us. With 0’s approvals below 50% I sense people cannot wait for November. I would give up this summer just to get there.
Mr. Spock is your congressman?
“We and GOP do not belong in the same sentence any longer.”
Maybe so.
But that doesn’t matter. Auto racers have a saying: “Run what you brung.” That’s what they have to do at race time and so do we.
There’s not time to start a viable third party.
Do you propose taking over the DNC instead?
Rahm Emanuel slept in Rosa’s basement.
Ewwwww...
That graphic makes me happy!
they haven’t peaked yet...
The oldest Pubbie? Not sure, unless McCain gives it another go. Though I’d take Romney over McCain.
I am hoping that Duncan Hunter tries again or even Fred Thompson, maybe even Sarah Palin at the top of the ticket. But I don’t know. Time will tell, what they do and say before November will be a ‘tell’.
One thing that needs to be changed is the Primary process itself. The RNC and DNC have skewed things so bad whatever party you align with YOU really are not making a choice cause someone else already made it.
Right now it is a system of political madness and the DNC/RNC have institutionalized it. We need changes.
We need a ‘closed primary’ and the elimination of caucuses (a very poor gauge of public opinion). We need uniform rules. Maybe even back to the days when the president might be of one party and the vp from another.
The current political process and parties ... SUCK!
Thanks foe dat!
Lol!!! Very good point! They will not be denied and in fact some want to upstage the past performances!!!
Oh yes. These guys also maintain that 0bamacare will reduce the deficit. From the guy that doesn’t know what IS is. These guys are living in Alice in Wonderland.
Someone has to hold these POS RINO’s accountable. Having Sarah run around with McLame as he attempts to renew his fight for illegals and his continued support of his former colleague, Barry, is beyond belief for any Conservative.
Enough already, ENOUGH. This GOP gene pool must be scrubbed, immediately.
The MSM is so slanted against the GOP 24/7/365 that it is only the last three weeks of any campaign that the GOP pulls away when the paid media advertising reminds people of why they want to vote Republican.

We need to turn off their entertainment programming as well. We have the internet and don’t need them.
Hurricane Katrina peaked too early. It caused death and destruction in the Bahamas and Florida, but it blew itself out before it reached the Gulf of Mexico, and was never heard from again.
Sarah Palin was the VP candidate. Doesn’t that make her the next in line? Her turn.
Heck yeah!
I'm all for it. :-)
You are almost alone on this thread in buying into the peaking thing. I like and respect Krauthammer. He is a cynic and a pessimist at least in tone and style, and so, recently he has been right almost all of the time. But this one is different. It’s win or lose the game time. This is the war not a battle.
