Political pressure might become so intense that President Obama would agree to repeal major portions of the healthcare bill he signed into law recently, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said today.
Even if Republicans win Congress in 2010, Obama could veto any legislation repealing healthcare reform. But McCain suggested the public might feel so strongly that Obama would cave.
"If the intensity level is as high as it is, I can draw you a scenario where the president would be forced to repeal or really replace it with the provisions [Republicans] wanted," McCain said in an interview with KFYI 550.

The one thing I’ll give Obama credit for is that he isn’t a politician. He doesn’t give a damn about polls or public opinion. He is a dictator.
One of the many reasons why Clinton was so much less dangerous.
Dementia...
It is sad to see a man in such a precipitous mental decline.
LOL! Yeah, sure thing.
that’s as likely as a candidate suspending his campaign in the middle of the Presidential campaign...nobody would be dumb enough to do that...
I think John might be on to something here. If we can just show Obama our intensity, THEN, and only then, he’d abide by the Constitution. Got it.
How do we show said intensity? Throwing all the rats out would be a good start, but I don’t think that’s enough. I think if we showed The One that we’re also willing to dump has-been RINOs well, THEN he’d get the message.
You’re right, John. THAT might be worth a try . . .
I’m obviously not as wise as a long-time Senator, but since when do Presidents have the power to repeal legislation passed by Congress? Veto right after passage, yes. Repeal? I don’t think so. Whatever happened to the notion of separation of powers?
McCain always put his faith in the wrong people and wants us to, also. When hasn’t he done this?
“Unicorns could fly out of my butt.”
They’d find a way to tax that:
The unicorn rectal expulsion tax -
According to the White House, it should cover the social security deficit
McCain is just so so so hopelessly out of touch and clueless. He still does not get what Obama has planned for this nation.
irrefutable proof that McCain is senile.
"Senator McCain, I am Dr. Gregory House, let's see what's wrong with you."
BO will never cave. McCain is trying to be relevant by showing BO the *errors of his ways*.
You blew it, Juan. Now step aside so a REAL conservative (JD) can try to clean up your mess.
“Hey! These aren’t brown skittles!”
Hopefully Nov will not be too late.
>>McCain: Obama could cave and repeal healthcare<<
He’s projecting.
Ol’ Mc’s a bigger fool than I gave him credit for if he believes Obuma will repeal. It would never have become law if Obuma had that tendency, not with the resistance to passage that there was. McS-—head is trying to disarm the resistance.
I was thinking “monkeys” in the Butthead voice until I read your post!
