Don't expect Ed Schultz to invite Ernest Istook back on his MSNBC show any time soon.
As was the case back in November, the former congressman and distinguished fellow at the Heritage Foundation deftly engaged a hapless Schultz, to the point that Schultz this past Wednesday actually apologized to his audience because "this was not the way this interview was supposed to go." And Schultz had it all mapped out!
Keeping tabs on left-wing media usually provides all the appeal of a re-education camp, but the slog does have its moments. This was one of them, from "The Ed Show" on March 24. A transcript of the exchange follows, interspersed with snarky commentary in italics, along with a video clip below the fold --

Holy frijoles!
Istook took Schultz out while filing his (Istook’s) fingernails and just glancing up from time to time!
So now Schultz will take on opponents like obermann. You know, his intellectual equals who might deviate 1/100 a percent from the talking points positions issued by ayers and soros.
Great money quote from Ed at the end:
“I’m sorry, I have to apologize to my audience tonight. This was not the way this interview was supposed to go”
...gee....ya think?
As the younger generation says today, “Yo, Ed—you got OWNED!”
Schultz is not too smart. He looks like a stubborn, angry muskrat (not to demean the muskrats).
;-)
_____
And the bizarre MSNBC's Maddow:
Rachel Maddow, the Balki of MSNBC
___
lol
Ed needs to look for another lunch.
That was a pants down spanking there!
That was worth watching.
That was funny!
Poor Ed. If he was only half as smart as he thinks he is...
Wasn’t there even a report today about a leftist who had thrown a brick through a republican’s window? Does anyone have that link? Funny that Ed used that example “show me a democrat who throws a brick through a window!” the day it happened... What an idiot.
How dare you steal my Maddow “Balke” shot!! Every time there is a reference to it, I post that pic!
LOLOLOL!!!!
Schultz shot his own dog.
No apologies necessary Ed. The interview probably had double your usual viewership due to those dozen or so who watched it purely for entertainment purposes.
Too bad Ernest didn’t mention the vandalism and threats coming from the Left recently like the threats to Eric Cantor and others.
“...to the point that Schultz this past Wednesday actually apologized to his audience because “this was not the way this interview was supposed to go.”
What Ed Schultz was really saying is “Why the hell wouldn’t this guy just roll over for me like most Republicans do when they face a guy like me?”
Wasn’t there a bunch of campaign headquarters for Republicans vandadlized during the last several elections?
Pwned!
