Federal agents arrested at least seven members of a self-proclaimed Christian militia group in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio over the weekend, according to the FBI and a leader of another militia organization.
The target of the raid was a group called the Hutaree, which proclaims on a Web site that it is "Preparing for the end time battles to keep the testimony of Jesus Christ alive."
As many as six members of the group were arrested at a wake for one of its members, and the property of its leader was searched by federal agents, said Mike Lackomar, a county leader for the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia, who cited the FBI for his information.

I’m not so sure this “Christian” militia isn’t an FBI front group anyway. When being raided by the FBI what kind of moron wants to hide on another militia group’s property? Seems like a great way to bring the FBI down on the Michigan Militia. I’m still trying to figure out how the Hutaree member called the Michigan Militia member in the middle of an FBI raid.
BTW, the Michigan milita would try to hide of fight a gunbattle they couldn’t win. They would lay down their arms and call an attorney.
As I understand it these people are being raided for manufacturing pipebombs. If true, good for the FBI. Nobody makes pipebombs for innocent purposes.

Indeed - if true. Thing is, it’s too easy for investigators to “find” pipebombs.
Jihadists are friends with statists... they allow the statists to do their work for them...
I’m sure this puts me on a list somewhere, but something smells fishy. Pipebombs are so easy to make, there is no need to make them “in advance”. Anyone “arrested for traficking in pipe bonbs” is either an FBI agent or an idiot.
That appears to be the difference between these guys and the two “legitimate” Michigan Militia groups. The other two have been around a long time and know how to deal with the FBI and wouldn’t do something stupid (Like hiding this Hutaree group)
In fact the legitimate groups make it clear that they aren’t looking for a war with government and would lay down their arms and call an attorney in the event of a raid.
And that spirit is now at work...
