If the media outlets are going to report on tea party events, they're not likely to get any benefit of the doubt much of the time.
Case in point - at the Tea Party Express event on March 27 in Searchlight, Nev., which former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin spoke, CNN's Fredericka Whitfield wasn't quite prepared to give the rally credit it was due as far as participation. She estimated that hundreds, but if not, "at least dozens of people" were in attendance. (h/t fstaff with assist from Mark Finkelstein)
"Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin there in Searchlight, Nev., was the backyard of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, but today it's the backdrop of this Tea Party Express - making a stop here," Whitfield said. "Hundreds of people, at least dozens of people - we haven't gotten a count of how many people turned out there. We heard Sarah Palin talk about everything about the campaign, to unseat Sen. Reid to what she calls ObamaCare, on the heels of that health care vote and even talking about her definition of her love of America."

They are telling their people what they want to hear.
Well, unfortunately only the 37 people who watch CNN won’t know any better. More people watch the Cartoon Network than CNN.
Maybe some of you that were there could send CNN some crowd pictures so they can retract their estimate. LOL.
Did they show any video from the event?I bet not, people can still count in this country-and the crowd was big.
In other words, about one for every CNN viewer eh?
We’ll see what CNN’s figures are on election night in November. No way they can fudge those (but you never know).
We know they do this all the time - but if there were 10,000-20,000 there and they down played it this much (they kept their camera tight so as not to show the crowd) than it is deliberately falsifying the news for an agenda and it needs to be dealt with -
I actually heard them say ‘dozens of people’ multiple times.
I just got back from there. One of the problems is after I was leaving around 1:00 there were still people coming in. So from that basis with people coming and going a hard count would be impossible. I would say 10,000 on the low end to 20,000 on the high end.
It was Reid that only had ‘dozens’. His egg tossers got reported as ‘dozens’ in quite a few press accounts....lol CNN has lost what little credibility they had left today.
How does CNN count? “One..., Two..., Three..., [pause] , Many”
Like the Boston Globe tried to pull that stunt by releasing campaign results before counting had even started?
They’re just jealous they can’t get a dozen viewers.
CNN...good at keeping their government slaves in the dark. Everyone has to play a role in keeping down the peons...eh?
Let them continue to bury their heads in the sand. The shock of reality will only sweeten the results.
Wow. CNN is the Pravda of the 21st century.
1.6 million on DC was just ten thou or so to them.
CNN is the laughing stock of the country tonight! This video is going viral...lol
