Um, I doubt you are reading Reganaut's posts.

And again if Glean Beck is all that stands between us and the fall of our nation to communism and/or a Islamic theocracy, we are in a whole heap of trouble...

Perhaps there is more to it than all of that and maybe, just maybe, a little multitasking is in order, for it profit a man not to save his entire nation if he does not save it's soul...

I did.

Souls are more important than politics. Politics can change by sword or by ballot as the need arises, and a nation can be saved. However Damnation is forever.

We should of course say it behooves us to fight for both and indeed the fights are often the same.

Unless you are willing to look a brother in the eye and say “Sorry your immortal soul is damned, but I had a Nation to save and it takes too much effort to do two things at once...”

However I still fail to see how all of this swings on ones opinion of Glen Beck one way or the other...

Indeed if Beck is so powerful we should not even be having this discussion, the problem should be solved...

I never said that we have no obligation. I love this country and am more than willing to fight for it, I spent part of my childhood living behind the Iron Curtain. I have more first hand knowlege of communism than most Americans, and I hate it.

But I WILL NOT compromise my faith or my ministry behind my politics.

Fear not him who can kill the body...

Too often I see people who put their physical welfare ahead of spiritual welfare or equate their faith with their politics.

I do not. And Beck is not this countries savior.

And you go right ahead and win souls while the rest of us fight to protect the Constitution. God calls each of us to fight in his own way. Fact is you have the ability to try and go win souls because of the country you live in. Grace is God’s gift not ours. I let my light shine.

Now you can avoid Beck and his ilk is you wish. No one has demanded that you either believe what he believes or does as he does. But I will tell you this. This nation was founded on the idea that your belief was yours. You cannot require me to share it in order for me to be a citizen in good standing.

Anyone who decides that they would rather fight over crede than stand with someone defending the Constitution does not have my back

Mindreading? Against forum rules.

There are MANY reasons I dislike Glen Beck, many of which I posted here. Yet you question that and assume there is only ONE specific reason not to like Beck.

Do you have one specific reason that you DO like Beck so much that you haven’t stated?

Why do you assume that? I love this country and want to work to save it, but Beck is not this countries or the Constitution’s Savior.

I already have a Savior, I don’t need another one.

Good works are always a fruit of faith. There’s nothing wrong with a church wanting to do good works because its people believe in (on) Jesus for personal salvation. To let the good works elbow aside the gospel message of salvation by faith, or to become perversions themselves, is an abomination.

Look you and I have agreed on many issues. But I will not stand and condemn Beck or any other Mormon for their faith when someone else is trying to slay ANYONE who does not agree with them.

I don’t much care about the dances that folks do to justify how they behave (including you). I NEVER said Beck was the saviour of anyone or anything. I said he is fighting along side us not against us. If you want to preach at him while he does so be it. The enemy is not Beck and right now it is not even Mormonism (though may be all you can see). Be a purist all you want.

We will see how it all transpires. I merely suggest that you ( nor I nor any one else on Earth) posseses the mond of God

I think you failed to see where I said I had no issue with Beck, indeed his “ilk” includes many a Conservative commentator I like.

But if our nation hangs on what Beck, or Hanity or even Rush does, we have a lot of problems.

As for the rest, I can do both, as can others, which was my point to begin with.

All three would describe themselves as Christians. I’m most inclined to believe Wallis on this. I think that Christians can be political liberals without undermining their faith in Jesus Christ. At least in my Bible, being a liberal is not the unforgiveable sin. Pastor Wright’s anger makes me wonder about his Christian faith. He certainly doesn’t appear to exercise the fruit of the spirit. Beck, despite his assertions, just isn’t a Christian.

- — - - -
Exactly. Beck may be right on politics but he is not a Christian. Politics doesn’t save, Jesus does.

And by the way I have not suggested putting my ‘welfare’ (physicak or otherwise) ahead of my faith. I just happen to know which battle I am fighting.

For many years on Free Republic, there have been a small group of very loud, dishonest, public school worshipping hardcore evolutionists whose attack on the Bible is in agreement with frauds such as Jim Wallis. A truly dishonest, leftwing, Bible-rejecting reprobate.

The small group of hardcore evolutionists would always be quick to jump on any conservative who identified a liberal fraud christian such as Jim Wallis what he really is, a Bible-rejector.

I NEVER said it hung on what Beck said. I merely suggested that to sit and yell at Beck when the fight is out there is insanity.

You want to split hairs over whho gets to win the most souls. Go right ahead. My concern is to be sure that we are not so busy pointing out another’s failings that we miss altogether the ability to live and worship as we would.

Now maybe you are waiting for the End. If so all of this should make you very happy.

There are none so blind as those who will not see.

Oh; we SEE just fine.

And, we do NOT play defense.

Why don’t you come out with the real reason you dislike Glenn Beck so much rather than tossing out innuendo as you talk down your nose to the rest of us?

HMMMmmm...

Suspicion of motives...
