I NEVER said it hung on what Beck said. I merely suggested that to sit and yell at Beck when the fight is out there is insanity.
You want to split hairs over whho gets to win the most souls. Go right ahead. My concern is to be sure that we are not so busy pointing out another’s failings that we miss altogether the ability to live and worship as we would.
Now maybe you are waiting for the End. If so all of this should make you very happy.
But I fail to see why I split hairs over who can win the most souls. indeed there is not hair to "split" it is not like picking sides for a dodge ball game.
Either one has the courage of their convictions or they don't.
I cannot live 50% as a person of faith and 100% as an American, nor vice versa.
I am called by God to do both in fact. Love my country and fight for it 100% and live for God and fight for him 100%.
I think that is one of the things that is killing us. We are willing to compromise our standing with the almighty out of fear of offending and we find other fights to hide that fear behind. "We have a nation to save, get with the program and worry about God later" is not going to save a nation that God ordained, indeed it will have the opposite effect in the long run.
Indeed the concept is counter productive to the goal. We will not save this nation without saving our brothers.
As far as it hanging on what Beck says, then why the issue with a Conservative who has issue with Beck. It is a small part of the game. One can fight for what this nation stands for and not always like the style of one of the pundits on your side...
