Sunrise in Searchlight. The place is crowded already at 6:30am. Anyone else here?
We got to sit faily close to Sarah's left....close enough to see her and hear her (some had a hard time hearing as the news chopper's were loud!)
We didn't meet up with any FReepers but as we were leaving (shortly after Roger Hedgecock spoke) we ran into Jim. He was just arriving!
I introduced myself and he told us that he had been sitting in traffic and missed Sarah. That is a complete bummer!
We had a fantastic time but, yes, the moron side egged the TPE bus! Did they not bother to read the stupid signs they put up all along the way in....."Make love, not war"> Peaceful my arse!
(((((CAluvdubya)))))
You saw her and were able to hear her!!!!
And you met Jim, too! How delightful!
I’m so happy for you!
I worried all day that you weren’t going to get there in time.
I posted a thread with a complete video of her speech. I am sure you were pinged (Sarah’s ping list) but I’ll ping you again to make certain.
I also posted the views from the air by the American Border Patrol, so you can see you all en masse and also get a view of the traffic!!!!
It was good you got there early, many people didn't make it in at all. How large a crowd do you think was there? I've heard, by some accounts, it was 20 to 30 thousand. That is awesome!
Sorry... I should have been more clear.
I'm horrible at estimating. I thought 10,000-20,000 but hubby thinks more!
There was a hill to one side and people were going up that hill....a lot of people!
I have some photos that hubby took. Would it be ok to put a few on your thread?

Can you put a link to that post?
That sign is pathetic.
They have a mental disorder.
lol...the one on the far left (pardon the pun) his sign said “Don’t spit on me”.
There weren’t that many of them there.
It is amazing where he can go in that motorized chair. I can just picture him trekking across the desert...Searchlight or Bust!! LOL. He doesn't allow anything to stop him!
Video Sarah Palin Searchlight, Nevada 3-27-10

It was very windy and coooold. I had a heavy jacket and leather gloves. They felt good. Many wasn’t prepared for the weather.
It was an awesome event. Many people came out. I almost chose not to go when I heard yesterday that Palin was campaigning with McCain.
But this is bigger than Sarah, McCain and Reid. So I’m glad I did my civic duty to be counted.
I was interviewed by LVRJ so hopefully my voice was heard.
Can you put a link to that post
