Two years ago, John McCain transformed Sarah Palin overnight from an obscure first-term Alaska governor into a national celebrity when he picked her as his vice presidential running mate.
Now Palin is repaying the favor, putting her prestige on the line in an effort to help the four-term Arizona senator overcome his toughest re-election challenge ever.
The two campaigned together Friday for the first time since they lost the presidential race in 2008.
At the first of two rallies this weekend, Palin pumped up Tea Partiers, invoking the cause of the first Tea Party in 1773.
"Remember it was the Freedom Fighters and those who protested tyranny and big government," she said. "And that's what we're doing today."
"And when you think about that first Tea Party, shoot, some may claim that John was there, at the first Tea Party," she said with a laugh, poking fun at McCain's age. McCain, who is 73, grinned widely beside her.

I don’t have a problem with Palin endorsing Mclame. Pols do crap like that all of the time. I do believe that she is hurting her conservative credibility by campaigning for him.
You sound like a MSM mimicker.
It is strange that you would use the term teabagger considering that derogatory term is reserved by liberals who hate conservatives.
I am glad she’s doing this. The media would not be paying any attention to her if she was campaigning for Hayworth. And if she campaigned against McCain the media would be having a field day creating the story that she is dis-loyal too rogue. This is helping Sarah more than McCain. Plus, for people who voted for Obama (and are now sorry), they are witnessing what they passed up in favor of Obamunusm.
Although, I must say, next to Sarah McCain looks old and that’s not helping him either. I believe Sarah did this to raise her own media exposure and more power to her.
I think she was referring to the Boston Tea Party.
But McCain is everything she claims that she’s fought against. McCain is the status quo, politics as usual, the good ol’ boys network, the Washington elite and part of the problem.
I disagree with those who say that she’d be nowhere without McCain. She’d have made it to the national stage just fine on her own accomplishments as a strong, competent governor. She didn’t need to be his running mate to be noticed. All she had to do was toss her hat into the ring.
It is what it is though and I only wish that at this point she’d back off and let McCain sink or swim on his own.
Excellent.
The Mayberry Crowd is going to go completely off the rails when Sarah speaks tonite in Nevada. Their little heads are going to spin like Linda Blair’s did in the “Exorcists”.
I do not know if she is hurting her self or not, I am reserving my revelation until I know the outcome.
But what she is doing now goes far beyond that.
If she were seen washing McCain's car or busy at her sewing machine letting out one of Megan's dresses, I don't think I would now be surprised.
Read back on my history newbie, you just might learn a thing or two before you shoot your mouth off.
At the Beginning??? Really??
So John McCain dressed up as an Indian*** and dumped tea in the Boston Harbor in 1773?? I knew the dude was old....
*** used Indian instead of Native American, because there was no Political Correctness back in 1773***
Sarah Palin had better back track on this or she will be toast. This otherwise fine woman had better realize that actions do speak louder than words and these ‘paybacks’ is the problem in all of Washington.
Are you referring to the aircraft carrier of 1776?
Funniest line of the morning. LOL
Better now than 18 months from now.
He lead at the great RINO Stampede.
Well, from all of the anti posts I’ve been reading since this brouhaha started I’d say she’s hurting herself.
“McCain was there at the beginning.
The beginning of what? “
Genesis ?
