Two years ago, John McCain transformed Sarah Palin overnight from an obscure first-term Alaska governor into a national celebrity when he picked her as his vice presidential running mate.
Now Palin is repaying the favor, putting her prestige on the line in an effort to help the four-term Arizona senator overcome his toughest re-election challenge ever.
The two campaigned together Friday for the first time since they lost the presidential race in 2008.
At the first of two rallies this weekend, Palin pumped up Tea Partiers, invoking the cause of the first Tea Party in 1773.
"Remember it was the Freedom Fighters and those who protested tyranny and big government," she said. "And that's what we're doing today."
"And when you think about that first Tea Party, shoot, some may claim that John was there, at the first Tea Party," she said with a laugh, poking fun at McCain's age. McCain, who is 73, grinned widely beside her.

Excellent points. The only arguments against Palin for supporting McCain are “I’m handicapped with tunnelvision” or “I love Karl Marx.”
There is no argument against Palin for supporting McCain, because there is no way to make the claim that if Palin hadnt done this transient little favor for McCain, the attacks against her wouldnt have been a lot worse.
I challenge anyone to counter this.
I’d be willing to bet I have donated more cash to her PAC and legal defense fund than you. Now you run along, Cletus, and make sure you’re Palin blow-up doll is fully inflated. You’ll want to make a good impression at tonight’s Golden Corral all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet.
Exactly. I really don't know why so many feel "betrayed" by Palin. Sheesh.
Palin has made her support for McCain known from day one. Very, very few people would go against the person who trusted them enough to give them a chance at the VP slot.
Excuse me if I don't laugh.
*the original one in 1773!
re post 349.....I apologize for being snippy....I re-read your posts and now comprend. My apologies.

Did you read my post? I was very clear in what I meant.
When Demint supported Rommny there were no viable conservatives in the race. Thompson had not declared and always was a half hearted candidate. Demint endorsed Romney to stop the most dangerous candidate, the one who Palin is now supporting. Tamcredo also endorsed Rommney to stop the most liberal GOP candidate running. Those endorsements make perfect sense at the time.
I agree that Palin’s endorsement prior to Hayworth’s decision is significant. It is almost understandable. If she had fulfilled her obligation by making a one visit stop with him in AZ, I would give her a pass. But, she went out of her way to appear with him on FOX, on national television. She not only openly, powerfully and flagrantly endorsed him, but also endorsed his immigration policy. This strengthened, solidified and shouted her support for the RINO who wanted to choose Lieberman as his VP running mate.
Obviously you weren’t clear! A little of this and that and a LOT OF NOTHING!! Like turning on MSM!
Your problem is you base your judgments of Palin on your own finger in the wind.
Nobody thinks Palin would make a decision that way, because she has never given any indication she would.
You’re trying way too hard with this one.

If you, Sarah Palin, or any other Palin supporter is more worried about the Liberal Media attacks on Palin for not supporting McCain.....T
Than the disappointment and back-stabbing she has done to conservatives and the conservative movement by supporting a McCain over a Conservative candidate in the primary.....you are probably not a conservative in the first place.
Because no one from the conservative media (or conservatives on this site)would attack Palin for supporting Hayworth....they would have lost their audience and go out of business.....only the Liberal media would be concerned about Palin not campaigning for McCain. The conservatives would defend Palin for taking a stand for conservatism....instead she is just another RINO
"Mrs. Palin, we know what it took to get you to quit in Alaske, what will it take to get you to quit in Washignton where the pressures are exponentially greater?"
They will clobber her with it.
As for Eric Cantor; I like him very much. his fatal flaw vis a vis electability is that he is Jewish. America is generations away from electing a Jewish POTUS, especially a conservative one.
As you said, it is early yet...
Slow down, or you’ll spin yourself into a delirium!
A. I don't have a problem. B. My opinion of Palin has not changed in any way at all since the day she quit.

" Nobody thinks Palin would make a decision that way..."
Except those who agree with me, some on this very thread.
Earning the title of RINO is not done by fulfilling a promise to campaign for the conservative principles spoken by a RINO.
You earn the title of RINO by supporting Democrat policy.
Palin is campaigning for conservative principles as advocated by McCain.
Sorry, I didn’t know that you were a spittle at the corner of the mouth freeper. I’ll try not to upset you further.
He looks good. I read the info.
It comes down to this, and you can’t refute it: the pro-Palin stand is more conservative than the anti-McCain one.
...And this is precisely why I cannot take seriously Sarah Palin as a candidate for POTUS, much less anything else.
“It comes down to this, and you cant refute it: the pro-Palin stand is more conservative than the anti-McCain one.”
LOL
Nice try.
Palin sold her soul to the devil(McCain)
Palin is finished.
Reason, you had better find a real conservative, and quit posting inanities ;-)
