Palin Wraps McCain in Tea Party Movement

Two years ago, John McCain transformed Sarah Palin overnight from an obscure first-term Alaska governor into a national celebrity when he picked her as his vice presidential running mate.

Now Palin is repaying the favor, putting her prestige on the line in an effort to help the four-term Arizona senator overcome his toughest re-election challenge ever.

The two campaigned together Friday for the first time since they lost the presidential race in 2008.

At the first of two rallies this weekend, Palin pumped up Tea Partiers, invoking the cause of the first Tea Party in 1773.

"Remember it was the Freedom Fighters and those who protested tyranny and big government," she said. "And that's what we're doing today."

"And when you think about that first Tea Party, shoot, some may claim that John was there, at the first Tea Party," she said with a laugh, poking fun at McCain's age. McCain, who is 73, grinned widely beside her.

I admit, I am cautious of Pence. His prior stance is unsettling. Although I also suspect that he is merely telling us what we want to hear lately.

Rubio and Cantor are genuine however. Having them together on the same ticket would be dynamic.

You really should not be directing this post at those whose support conservatives and who are real conservatives.

We already have someone claiming that the “101st Airborne is not a real military outfit”.....in response to PSYCHO.....I challenge that poster to say that at Fort Campbell, KY....

I think you display your lack of intelligence questioning why people are upset with Sarah Palin. With conservatives....conservatism is not a part-time, or, when the time-is-right thing.

Many conservatives are done with Palin. Actively supporting John McCain in a primary against a conservative challenger is not conservative

You should reserve your “questioning of intelligence” to those who blindly support Palin regardless what she does. And, maybe, you should read your own books.

McCain is to the Conservative movement, what Stupak is to the Pro-Life movement.

With me she has.

Not that she shouldn’t have a good role somewhere.

She would be good as head of RNC. Or in a position concerning energy policy.

It seems to be a fairly common view then. And I agree, it's not as if there couldn't be an important role for her, I just don't see it as being POTUS.

I posted what was written to you by “presently no screen name”
Then I went after PNSN, not you. I was defending you, not villiying you. If you check, the first on the list was PNSN. I guess I didn’t make it clear. For that I apologize.

Sarah, you're breaking my heart. McPOS should be quarantined and put out to pasture. Leave him be.

Do you believe everyone here who claims they did this or that?

I usually don't care or even think about it but the freeper to whom I posted was way out of line by essentially calling another freeper a coward and a liar just because of a difference of opinion over palin. There is no room for that here.

That has been my position since the day she quit in Alaska.

At the time I thought that probably closed her opportunity, although I personally understood why she did it.

It's way too early to crown any particular candidate the odds on favorite, but I must say I've been impressed with several during the Obamacare process. For example, Eric Cantor seens to be intelligent and articulate. Supposedly congressmen don't perform well in presidential elections, but I think he's developed some name recognition by taking Obama to task in his little ambush summit. Jim DeMint is another that seems to have comported himself well. I haven't done huge research on them, but they seem viable.

Are you saying there is no lying here? That’s what anti conservatives do! Saying conservatives here are supporting McCain is JUST one blatant lie!

If conservatives buy into this. They will buy into anything.

They elected Arnold Schwarzenegger, didn't they?
