Two years ago, John McCain transformed Sarah Palin overnight from an obscure first-term Alaska governor into a national celebrity when he picked her as his vice presidential running mate.
Now Palin is repaying the favor, putting her prestige on the line in an effort to help the four-term Arizona senator overcome his toughest re-election challenge ever.
The two campaigned together Friday for the first time since they lost the presidential race in 2008.
At the first of two rallies this weekend, Palin pumped up Tea Partiers, invoking the cause of the first Tea Party in 1773.
"Remember it was the Freedom Fighters and those who protested tyranny and big government," she said. "And that's what we're doing today."
"And when you think about that first Tea Party, shoot, some may claim that John was there, at the first Tea Party," she said with a laugh, poking fun at McCain's age. McCain, who is 73, grinned widely beside her.

I like Sarah, but I’ve now become a Paul Ryan/Mitch Daniels kind of gal.
Hunter belongs at the BOTTOM of that list. He did not have a conservative alternative to choose from.
Unlike Tancredo, DeMint, Pawlenty, Newt, Santorum, etc.

I believe that Sarah stuck her finger in the wind and decided the breeze was favorable for a McCain win. If she backs against the Big Mac and he wins then she would be persona non grata in the GOP and banished beyond the sidelines to the cheap seats.

The real conservatives want any candidate to score 100 of 100. As soon as they discover a flaw, the candidate is cut loose. The fact is, nobody is going to agree with 100% of any agenda. Some here rail against Beck, some against Hannity, some against Rush. All against McCain, even though they voted for him.

Oh, and the elephant in the room is J. D. Hayworth. That man may claim Tea Party platforms but he is no conservative. He is a crook who has ties that run deep with corruption. He is fooling everyone and apparently they are dumb enough to fall for it.

McCain is the only politican who has been soiled by the 1980’s Savings and Loan fiasco (the only GOP among the Keating Five) AND soiled by the banking disaster in 2008 (he supported the TARP bailout)
McCain supports giving Amnesty to Illegal Aliens.....but not only that...in his McCain/Kennedy Amnesty bill....they wanted to give Amnesty to Illegal Alien GANG MEMBERS....the same ones who work for the Drug Cartels....
Many have posted all the transgressions about McCain. You are welcome to post all of Hayworth’s.....though that list I am sure will be small. Heck, the PalinStinians would have posted that by now...if it existed
