Two years ago, John McCain transformed Sarah Palin overnight from an obscure first-term Alaska governor into a national celebrity when he picked her as his vice presidential running mate.
Now Palin is repaying the favor, putting her prestige on the line in an effort to help the four-term Arizona senator overcome his toughest re-election challenge ever.
The two campaigned together Friday for the first time since they lost the presidential race in 2008.
At the first of two rallies this weekend, Palin pumped up Tea Partiers, invoking the cause of the first Tea Party in 1773.
"Remember it was the Freedom Fighters and those who protested tyranny and big government," she said. "And that's what we're doing today."
"And when you think about that first Tea Party, shoot, some may claim that John was there, at the first Tea Party," she said with a laugh, poking fun at McCain's age. McCain, who is 73, grinned widely beside her.

It is not about smart; it is about necessary. Smart is all fine and dandy when you are playing Stratego, but in real time you have to make real decisions, old man.
Sorry babe, you lost my vote! Anyone who shills for a RINO IS a RINO! Go back to Alaska!
Oh, well played!
You do Governor Palin so much credit with that elegant riposte.
How can I but yield???
The indies went for Obozo in 2008. Supporting McLame is a waste of time. Why do we always do the same thing over and over?
I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt. For all anyone knows, McCain might be seriously ill and just asking for one last hurrah before checking out (with a cool state funeral). Or maybe not, but if he keels over in six months at least I won’t have to eat any words! And Gov. Palin will have repaid him for bringing her to national prominence. She can throw in some pious elegy and we’ll all start graciously forgetting everything except his military service.
Like I said, just read back on my posting and Military history, and see for yourself if I don't know what I am saying.
The only “pawns” on this forum are the ones who support McNasty and his minions. The result is what got us into this unstoppable mess in the first place and it was people like yourself who made it all possible by picking loser candidates because they had an “R” behind their name.
Anyone who lies and says a RINO is a conservative and actively campaigns for the RINO and smears the conservative in the race.
The trolls are trolling today. The artic fox has it rolling. McCain is old enough to link with the first tea party. That was a good one. Get use to it guys, the face of the tea party is women. The women are starting a new movement with Sarah Palin.
I luv it.
HeHeHe
LOL
NO ANSWER! You did exactly what I said you would!
How transparent do you think you’re not?
just like McCain...
What was she thinking? She should have backed the conservative. Now, I'm thinking she's not worth backing herself.
HELL NO! I won't go.......
I don’t see anyone support mccain on this thread - another twisting of facts from you.
You stick it - PAWN!
So once again, everyone on that list has to be rejected, according to your litmus test.
Someone needs to tell Palin that.
Something positive and forward looking: I think that the active element driving the Republican Party is aware that McCain, Palin, Romney and Huckabee are finished. The Tea Party movement will not be denied, and there are young active politicians emerging in New Jersey, Virginia, Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota and Florida. Unlike the Democrats, the Republicans are flush with new faces. Thus, I visualize an exciting, wide open race two years from now.

How has this discussion degraded to Loyd and Floyd Mayweather J.R.? All I caon say is that I have not proposed a false dichotomy, bychotomy, or lobotomy. The D.J. Hayworth issue is under the bridge.
Well this “Old Man” risked his life in combat for your worthless RINO ass! But I never expected you to understand what the word respect entails in the first place.
Yep. That’s a deal breaker for me. I’ll never vote for a pro-amnesty RINO, ever.
