SNIPPET: "MEXICO CITY – The deputy police chief in the northern Mexican border city of Nogales was killed along with his bodyguard, Sonora state police said Friday.

Adalberto Padilla and bodyguard Ivan Sepulveda were shot Thursday night while traveling in a police vehicle. The assailants were described as men inside an SUV who opened fire with AK-47 assault rifles, the weapon of choice for Mexico’s drug cartels.

A 16-year-old bystander was wounded during the attack in the city just across the border from Nogales, Arizona."

SNIPPET: "In other drug-related violence, a local police chief and his brother were found decapitated in the northern state of Nuevo Leon, bordering Texas.

The Agualeguas municipal chief and his brother were discovered after state police received a telephone call early Friday about a patrol vehicle abandoned near a village more than 100 kilometers (60 miles) west of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon’s capital, state Attorney General Alejandro Garza y Garza said.

The killers used the victims’ blood to paint the patrol vehicle with the initials “CDG,” signifying Cartel del Golfo, or Gulf cartel, one of Mexico’s most powerful drug outfits."

“Sounds like Iraq on steroids.”

Let’s start blaming all the violence all over the world on MAO-bama, just as a matter of returning the illogical ‘favor’ to the leftist peaceniks.

Obama’s fault.

Anyone willing to be a policeman (and especially a police chief) in Mexico today deserves a medal for bravery.

I don't think you get it. Most of the police departments down there are run by crime families and drug cartels...They've totally infiltrated them.

I don’t think cartel beheadings have anything to do with Islam. I think they’re just adding insult to murder.

>> It’s been going on for awhile — the main-stream media doesn’t choose to report on it often.

So true.

How often do we still hear about folks that long for the holiday getaway to Mexico...

You’re full of crapola.

Illegal drugs destroy lives, not just those of the user/addict, but their families. If it was only adults who made the choice to use addicting substances I would not be writing this, but that is not the reality.

Reality is kids using ecstasy and meth. If they survive the first try and keep using, eventually their brains are destroyed. Legalizing drugs would not improve the situation. It would only make the drugs easier to get and provide society’s tacit approval.

The best solution to the illegal drug problem is to arrest traffickers, smugglers, dealers, users then put them up against a wall and shoot every last one of them. Few people stick with a path ending in early death.

Just another wonderful day in Mexico!

Yet, there are those here on FR, even today, telling us how wonderful and safe it is.

Coming to a town near you!

“Does anyone know if Islam is making extensive inroads in Mexico and if not what is the symbolism and purpose behind the beheadings? I can see the intimidation factor, but there are other ways, such as choking someone on their own gonads.”

Mexico doesn’t need help from Islam to behave like animals. The beheadings are reported every day, but there is also dismemberment, boiling of bodies in acid, kidnappings and torture.

But, yes, Islam is making inroads into ‘hispanic culture’.

Probably over a year ago, there was a thread on the topic of Islam/latinos. The information that came out was shocking.
I wish I could find it. IIRC, there are dozens of mosques in Mexico and several Latino Mosques in the USA.

What is an Army???

From the US Border Patrol

What makes up an army? An army is made of men between the age of 15 and 35.

What comes across our border by the millions each year? Men between the ages of 15 and 35.

Afghan drug lords are now teamed with Mexican drug cartels to flood our cities with heroin. In Mexico, this Muslim Connnection to the drug cartels has brought beheadings to the streets of border towns. Many Mexican cities are now surrounded by Mexican Army troops and tanks — all to quel the violence. The city of Tijuana had its entire 3,000 man police force disarmed and replaced with Mexican Federal Troops.

What we have below are two images. One is of an enemy we fought tooth and claw for seventy years nearly bankrupting our country. The other we today invite across our border with welfare, free medical care, and more. The centers of many American cities are now controlled by MS-13 and others of the most violent gangs in America’s entire history. These gangs want to kill police and federal agents to rise in reputation among their own kind. Our prisons are now filled with a violent criminal class never seen before anywhere on earth.

In all of the 70 years of the Soviet Union — including the years of the proxy war of Vietnam.— they killed fewer Americans in total than Mexican Illegal Aliens do inside this country in a single year.

Anyone purchasing and/or using drugs from Mexico is contributing to the violence and murder!

“Anyone purchasing and/or using drugs from Mexico is contributing to the violence and murder!”

I don’t disagree with your statement, but here is the cold, hard truth. There is only one way to stop the incursion of Mexican crime into this country.

1. Seal, protect the borders and KNOW who is coming in.

2. Legalize marijuana.

I hate to say it, but there it is. Armed Mexican drug cartels are all over our national forests and parks growing dope...it doesn’t have to come from Mexico/columbia any longer. In my area, we are surrounded by these armed thugs, who often burn down the forests in the process.

How I wish the ‘war on drugs’ were actually effective. It has only made the problem worse. Our government has allowed an army of criminals from south of the border to take over 230 cities along with our forests. Their $$ supply has to be cut off. Years ago, there were other answers, but no one acted, so here we are, leaving us no other choice.

“A 16-year-old bystander was wounded during the attack in the city just across the border from Nogales, Arizona.”

Didn’t the former Arizona governor, now Secretary of Homeland Security, just kill building the wall ? And doesn’t she encourage amnesty? How, pray tell, did she get elected in AZ?

Do you even read what you write? You say that illegal drugs destroy lives of users and their families, and that the solution is to shoot every last seller and user. HEH!

You say that legalizing drugs would make them easier to get. Oh really...

Despite the fact that alcohol is a legal drug, often stored in parents' liquor cabinets and available for purchase if teens know someone over 21 years old, experts and adolescents say that marijuana is now easier for teens to get their hands on than alcohol.

You also avoided my question on the Constitution. Can't say I'm surprised, considering your previous laughable attempt to justify fedgov trampling of the Tenth Amendment:

I'm not sure that California has that power. (The 10th Amendment is below.) Rather the U.S. government, responsible for the "General Welfare", reserves that power for itself.

Maybe you should discuss General Welfare with John Conyers:

A reporter asked House Judiciary Committee Chairman, John Conyers, where in the constitution is the government given power to mandate that the people purchase health insurance. He answered "under several clauses…the good and welfare clause…and, uh..a couple others."
