G.O.P. Forces New House Vote on Package of Health Bill Changes
By DAVID M. HERSZENHORN and ROBERT PEAR
WASHINGTON With the Senate working through an all-night session on a package of changes to the Democrats sweeping health care legislation, Republicans early on Thursday morning identified parliamentary problems with at least two provisions that will require the measure to be sent back to the House for yet another vote, once the Senate adopts it.
Senate Democrats had been hoping to defeat all of the amendments proposed by Republicans and to prevail on parliamentary challenges so that they could approve the measure and send it to President Obama for his signature. But the bill must comply with complex budget reconciliation rules, and Republicans identified some flaws.
Under the reconciliation rules, provisions in the bill must directly affect government spending or revenues.

Actually, in regard to your “fully own” suggestion, the current GOP maneuvers are designed to ensure that is what happens.
By forcing a Senate Dem vote on such things as giving Viagra to sex offenders or exempting themselves from the new healthcare plan, Republicans are pinning the Dems to the wall. Every one of those votes last night are recorded and are perfect campaign ammo.
I can’t wait for the commercials.
They have the vote, and theirs counts as much as yours. Makes you question democracy, doesn’t it?
Precisely why the electoral college was originally established. Electors who could save us from ourselves, at least back then.
Where’s Macho Sauce (I think that’s his name) been lately?
bump for later
Does anyone know what those alledged amendments were?
A silver lining in this darkest of deathcare clouds.
The MSM is already downpplaying this.
even FNC just mentioned it in passing. (before they lost sound this morning)
CNBC gave ONE SENTENCE.
MSNBC was on a “peebeck skuul iz goud” kick.
CSPAN was all semninar callers as usual.
Nah they own it, now they have to feed it
I wonder if that was the same 0bama voter who said 0bama was give her a new house?
Nice list.
They should have put in one to protect union members from medical device tax. That would really make the dems squirm.
PLEASE make this Viral, it is well, no wordS:
This has the effect of removing all current legal obstructions to the use of military FORCE against the citizen population afforded by posse commitatus. Our President just created his own private army and as he stated numerous times in the campaign he intends to equip it to the full equivalent of our MILITARY forces.

Quit if you like. Obama is now your master. You've bent the knee to the Kenyan.

Hmmm..In essay writing there is the concept of an "opening hook". I suppose I could have included "/sarc", but anyone who has ever read my diatribes knows that my preference is for the revolution to start before I pass on to ground temperature.
After all, it is primarily those of my generation that either ignored or pooh-poohed the warnings at a time when this could have been stopped and a start made on restoring the Constitutional Republic through the election process. IMHO, that window of opportunity has long-since passed us by.
Now, back to the "hook"...
WOW! Haven't had that response to a "hook" since the Ray Scott BASS tournament on the St Johns River back in 82...But there it took me about 100 casts to limit out...Here just one...{:-)
Where is another agitator for republicanism like Sam Adams when we need him?
I dont know if this is the same one...but did you know there is already a Commissioned Corps...assigned to the Department of Public Health and Human Services?

Cool. After Andy got a tongue-lashing from his old girlfriend and fainted, Kingfish said, “Yeah, the telephone is a dangerous instrument, all right.” Today we might say the same thing about the computer.
I never even knew you existed until you posted this here. You may not be so widely read as you might suppose.

Speak for yourself and the losers you've hung out with all these years.
People I call friends have been on the front lines of these battles for the better part of ther last 45 years.
Diarrhea. You uttered it. Man up. Own up.
