G.O.P. Forces New House Vote on Package of Health Bill Changes
By DAVID M. HERSZENHORN and ROBERT PEAR
WASHINGTON With the Senate working through an all-night session on a package of changes to the Democrats sweeping health care legislation, Republicans early on Thursday morning identified parliamentary problems with at least two provisions that will require the measure to be sent back to the House for yet another vote, once the Senate adopts it.
Senate Democrats had been hoping to defeat all of the amendments proposed by Republicans and to prevail on parliamentary challenges so that they could approve the measure and send it to President Obama for his signature. But the bill must comply with complex budget reconciliation rules, and Republicans identified some flaws.
Under the reconciliation rules, provisions in the bill must directly affect government spending or revenues.

“HANDS OFF MY COLLEGE TUITION” GOP FIGHTS FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS!!!
A mistake to make Democrats vote for it again? They stayed up all night trying to find a way not to have to vote again. So why is it a mistake to have forced them to go on the record one more time? I would like to see them forced to endorse ObamaCare by a vote every week.
The idea is to get senate Dems to vote against amendments like the one which would have prohibited taxes on those earning less than 250K (Obama campaign promise). These make good political ad material against Dems at election time this year, and probably in 2012 also.
A good thing. The GOP is fighting this every step of the way. They’re forcing the opposition to vote for it multiple times. While it probably won’t result in a change in outcome, it does force the opposition to buy off on it again and again and again. It also seals the impression in people’s minds that the GOP are the ones fighting this.
Good night all........I will check back this afternoon....
I hope the headlines are good!!!
“The idea is to get senate Dems to vote against amendments like the one which would have prohibited taxes on those earning less than 250K (Obama campaign promise). These make good political ad material against Dems at election time this year, and probably in 2012 also.”
I heard about three amendments yesterday.
1. No convicted child molester or rapist can get erectile dysfunction medication with gov’t money.
2. All congressmen have to sign up for the health care plan.
3. All earmarks like Gator-aid and the Cornhusker kickback are removed from the bill.
Pretty good. Dems have to vote for the amendment which cause another vote in the house or they have to vote against something like #1 which would play great in 30 second sound bites.
Good! And keep it up! Insert every stinking inconvenience possible and make it run into the darkest
hour whenever possible.
No quarter left behind!!!
“I hope the GOP will remind them that this is a Big %&**** DEAL!!!!”
Right. Quote, unquote.
“This is a mistake. The GOP should let the Dems FULLY OWN this piece of crap.”
I disagree, 2/3 of Americans want the GOP to fight this crap sandwich. [http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2479246/posts] They are going to muck it up anyway possible.
I think this plays directly into electoral victory in November.
“Time to accept the yoke of marxist slavery...We earned it by four decades of dithering inaction and useless talking.”
Disagree with the first phrase. I think you’re being cynical/sarcastic to prove a point? Agree that we’ve had 40 years of dithering...
LET’S ROLL!
a lady on radio said she agrees its like Christmas

broadcaster: dont you have healthcare
lady: yes.....but now I dont have to pay
broadcaster: sarc laugh...well who is?

+++++++++++++++
Wow. This is what we’re dealing with. God help this country.
“We need some conservative rappers.....anyone rap out there?”
LOL...:)
Plus it keeps the rats busy with this bill and prevents them from taking over other parts of our country.
Guess Nancy got a three AM phone call.....;~)
Hope the caller said “This is a big #$%^&* DEAL!”
There are two campaigns:
1. Elect the GOP
2. Get the GOP to be conservative.
There is no guarantee of success in either campaign, so we must work very, very hard. Harder than before.
other is a “drafting error”, according to one GOP aide}
I see your point but this means that the “fixes” either fail because they can’t get it together and the House ‘Rats feel betrayed or they succeed and we have to watch those idiots take responsibility for this mess AGAIN!
I think Zero is also ripe, ripe, ripe for criticism because instead of “focusing like a laser on jobs” as he pledged, he’s off on a campaign tour to try to “sell” this steaming pile of poo.
All of which can be exploited, big time!
A bit more indepth.
Elect ONLY Conservative members of the GOP to the Senate. No RINO Senators can be tolerated.

Elect Majority Conservative GOP to the House where we will be forced to take in moderate Republicans (RINO’s) keep the majority of the House Conservative.
