Actually, in regard to your “fully own” suggestion, the current GOP maneuvers are designed to ensure that is what happens.
By forcing a Senate Dem vote on such things as giving Viagra to sex offenders or exempting themselves from the new healthcare plan, Republicans are pinning the Dems to the wall. Every one of those votes last night are recorded and are perfect campaign ammo.
I can’t wait for the commercials.

They have the vote, and theirs counts as much as yours. Makes you question democracy, doesn’t it?
Precisely why the electoral college was originally established. Electors who could save us from ourselves, at least back then.

The other day Pelosi claimed that the bill they were voting on had 200 Republican amendments.
Does anyone know what those alledged amendments were?

Plus it keeps the rats busy with this bill and prevents them from taking over other parts of our country.A silver lining in this darkest of deathcare clouds.

Nice list.
They should have put in one to protect union members from medical device tax. That would really make the dems squirm.
To: historyrepeatz
The original Senate version is already law.. This is a mistake. The GOP should let the Dems FULLY OWN this piece of crap.
Wrong. The GOP is doing what they should be doing---and that is pointing out to everyone just how flawed this bill is, I have been watching the senate on CSPAN and the GOP have done a superb job while the dems just rehash their talking points. GOP is FINALLY stepping up to the plate with facts and figures and exposing this CRAP for all its worth! The dems have sold their souls, I will not listen to a word they say, they are all lies. The GOP is right on target and the American people can see who the real party at fault is here by the GOP exposing this.

This has the effect of removing all current legal obstructions to the use of military FORCE against the citizen population afforded by posse commitatus. Our President just created his own private army and as he stated numerous times in the campaign he intends to equip it to the full equivalent of our MILITARY forces.

Quit if you like. Obama is now your master. You've bent the knee to the Kenyan.

Hmmm..In essay writing there is the concept of an "opening hook". I suppose I could have included "/sarc", but anyone who has ever read my diatribes knows that my preference is for the revolution to start before I pass on to ground temperature.
After all, it is primarily those of my generation that either ignored or pooh-poohed the warnings at a time when this could have been stopped and a start made on restoring the Constitutional Republic through the election process. IMHO, that window of opportunity has long-since passed us by.
Now, back to the "hook"...
WOW! Haven't had that response to a "hook" since the Ray Scott BASS tournament on the St Johns River back in 82...But there it took me about 100 casts to limit out...Here just one...{:-)

Cool. After Andy got a tongue-lashing from his old girlfriend and fainted, Kingfish said, “Yeah, the telephone is a dangerous instrument, all right.” Today we might say the same thing about the computer.
