AZ-Sen. 2010: 'Joe The Plumber' To Appear At Tax Rally (as Palin rallies McCain's RINO hordes)

PHOENIX -- The day that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is set to campaign with Sen. John McCain in Tucson, another figure from the 2008 presidential election will make an appearance on the lawn of Arizona's capitol building.

Samuel Wurzelbacher, more commonly known as "Joe the Plumber," is scheduled to make an appearance at Friday's "Ax the Tax" rally against Proposition 100, which institutes a temporary sales tax increase across Arizona to fill the budget shortfall.

Wurzelbacher rose to fame after he questioned then-presidential-candidate Barack Obama about tax increases at a campaign rally. Both Obama and McCain referred to Wurzelbacher as "Joe the Plumber" during the presidential debates, thus giving him the nickname.

As Wurzelbacher talks taxes at the rally, Palin and McCain will be holding a picnic in Tucson on Friday before heading to Mesa for a rally Saturday.

I understand your fear of Romney doing to us in 2012 what McCain did in 2008.

No you don't, McCain didn't do anything to us in 2008, with no money he defeated the early, less refined, Romney machine. If Romney had not been such a well financed player I think that better choices would have entered the 2008 primary and McCain would not have lucked out like he did. Romney queered the entire 2008 primary and gave us McCain. In 2012, Romney will do a similar thing by winning the primary and losing the race and races all down the ticket as demoralized conservatives stay home in droves.

I don't know Palin's role for 2012, candidate, giant maker, leader of a shadow conservative party within the GOP, I don't know, but I do see her as the only true giant slayer that conservatives have, without her we lose our star power, we will still have the usual conservative voices and leaders that we always have, but they will have lost the game changing, media giant and national leadership that gives them such a strong voice in public matters currently.

Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin are in a war for the soul of the Republican Party, one left, one right, Mitt Romney is a liberal in his soul, it is genetic. Sarah Palin is a conservative in her soul, it is genetic, this is the old battle between Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan, the old battle between the Western/Southern conservatives and North Eastern moderates.

Governor Palin and Governor Mitt Romney are already shaping the 2012 primary, and fighting for it's structure and themes, and tone, and it's goals, it will either be the old party or the new party emerging from the primary.

I thought you would like that one. Choose sides they always tell us. You ever see that Southpark episode Vote or Die ? The moral was the two candidates always s..k. But if dont pick one then both sides hate you, if you pick one the other hates you. Even if you hate both.

RE :”Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin are in a war for the soul of the Republican Party, one left, one right”

Are they at war with each other? Right now? I thought Sarah was in AZ. Is that what her and Romney are doing there?

I take it you didnt buy Romney’s book :) I saw him interviewed and he said there wasnt room in it to put a chapter on his abortion views. I guess we have to wait till the next book for that chapter. LOL. Maybe it will be “Being Pro-life and for a women’s right to choose (abortion) is about building bridges”

Regarding Palin: I’m afraid that wishful thinking has replaced critical thinking among many on our side. :(

Which is what will happen to all of us if McCain prevails in this primary challenge, and if he is returned to the House of Lords for another 6 year term, we'll have Sarah Palin to thank for it.

I think that unfortunate hypothetical is likely to happen short something big like Obama’s push for amnesty taking him out.

I wouldn’t put it past Obama to wait until Aug 25th, to see if his biggest ally for amnesty wins. (McCain)

I agree. But that is not nearly as contemptible as slandering a fellow FReeper, in order to win an argument. Right, Ansell?

The fact is, 0bama and McCain are two peas from the same pod. Both are progressive, both hold our Constitution utterly in contempt, both look down their noses at the American people, and both are determined to hold on to their own personal political power, no matter the cost, no matter the means used to do so.

If McCain switched to the 'Rat Party tomorrow, there would be no change in his positions, and his pals across the aisle would welcome him not with open arms, but with celebrations of "WELCOME HOME JOHN".
