AZ-Sen. 2010: 'Joe The Plumber' To Appear At Tax Rally (as Palin rallies McCain's RINO hordes)

PHOENIX -- The day that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is set to campaign with Sen. John McCain in Tucson, another figure from the 2008 presidential election will make an appearance on the lawn of Arizona's capitol building.
Samuel Wurzelbacher, more commonly known as "Joe the Plumber," is scheduled to make an appearance at Friday's "Ax the Tax" rally against Proposition 100, which institutes a temporary sales tax increase across Arizona to fill the budget shortfall.
Wurzelbacher rose to fame after he questioned then-presidential-candidate Barack Obama about tax increases at a campaign rally. Both Obama and McCain referred to Wurzelbacher as "Joe the Plumber" during the presidential debates, thus giving him the nickname.
As Wurzelbacher talks taxes at the rally, Palin and McCain will be holding a picnic in Tucson on Friday before heading to Mesa for a rally Saturday.

Palin has privately told Hayworth's people that she won't be attacking him. McCain's people get this and understand it, and so do Hayworth's people, so you won't see J.D. attacking Palin at all.Not disputing this, but if she "privately told Hayworth's people" this how did you learn of it?
Be seeing you,
Jeff

Sarah is on the RINO side, and the conservative side. Check with her on a daily basis for which side she is on.

RE :”

Would that devil be John McCain? He is on Hannity almost every night now.
Hey, I freaked when he got nominated. I told all my republican friends I would vote for Hillary first before McCain. Fortunately I never promised to vote for Obama.

Hannity is a nice guy, but he is just a RNC/GOP shill.

rabscuttle385 are completely opposed to Romney RINO and would work to undermine him on every front if and when he appears the front runner after announcing his candidacy. Right now they are dealing with the Mccain primary because that is a real race at this time. A number of posters here have made the argument that only Palin can win the Republican primary, But do you believe she would have trouble winning that against Romney if they both announced? My contention is that the day of announcement will be too late, Romney is already halfway home.
One reason that 2008 was such a bad year for conservatives was because even then, Romney had sucked up so much air by letting it be known that he was running, and willing to self finance, which he did to the tune of 50 million dollars, that kept many conservative possibles out of the race because they saw the odds as too long.
2012 will be much worse, there will be some partial efforts by some of the conservative names that we throw out, to build name recognition and campaign structure for future use, but their campaigns will at best be about winning a slot on the Romney ticket.
I think that the only thing standing between the Romney/Rockefeller wing of the GOP and conservative marginalization is Governor Palin. Palin was there during those bleak months of late 2008 and early 2009 standing alone against the left and it's media, she emboldened many politicians and you could see it as their language got firmer and tougher as they watched Palin take the brunt of the media's attacks, and survive.
I don't know Palin's role for 2012, candidate, giant maker, leader of a shadow conservative party within the GOP, I don't know, but I do see her as the only true giant slayer that conservatives have, without her we lose our star power, we will still have the usual conservative voices and leaders that we always have, but they will have lost the game changing, media giant and national leadership that gives them such a strong voice in public matters currently.

One, SJB is neither a Ron Paul supporter nor a third party person. Neither is MK, for that matter. They are, however, wonderful conservatives, and despite the fact that *I* like Ron Paul (in addition to quite a few other folks), I do strongly respect their opinions.
I'll go on the record and say that while I can agree with SOME of Ron Paul's positions regarding the need to limit and curb the size of the federal government, beyond that I am generally indifferent to him. Ron Paul was never going to be President, not then, not ever. End of story. Won't lose any sleep over that in my household.
Two, just because a potential candidate is the front-runner two and a half years prior to the election does not mean that he (OR she!) will eventually become the nominee.
Exactly. I remind everyone of the hoopla and anticipation over the impending presidential campaign of former Texas Governor John Connelly, he of the silver tongued oratorical elite, part of history itself having been wounded along with JFK in November 1963, former Democrat, became a Republican, he was pronounced unbeatable and inevitable by MANY in late '79 and early 1980. After spending an abominable sum of money, Connelly got one and ONLY one delegate. So much for the inevitability of 'President Connelly'.
The very same thing is going to occur with Mitt-Witt, his performance in the 2008 primaries was pathetic, winning exactly three contests, Massachusetts ('duh'), Utah ('double-duh') and Michigan, and with the shadow of 0bamaCare (the big brother of RomneyCare) over him now, you can take this to the bank: Romney ain't goin' anywhere except into political oblivion. Believe it. Bet the rent.
What is truly disgusting as of late is what I call the "RABID RESPONSE TEAM" which shows up to attack any and all FReepers who are less than wildly enthusiastic and praising with hands held high, unannounced (as yet) candidate former Governor Sarah Palin. Anyone who isn't on board the Sarah Express earns an automatic labeling as a 'RomneyBot' or a 'PaulBot', or a 'hater' or a 'mysogynist' or any number of monikers, and I'm here to tell you that Sarah Palin herself would be ashamed of, and would condemn such behavior because regardless of her positions which FReepers may or may not agree with, she would never countenance or condone such vicious assaults on those who don't support her, or have yet to make up their minds. And get this: those in the Sarah camp who conduct themselves in such a manner are doing more harm than good to her, and to their cause. They are bringing disdain and dishonor upon their candidate. If she fails to gain the nomination and/or the Presidency, those ass clowns will bear a measure, no matter how small, of the responsibility because they will by that time, have become the face of the Palin campaign.
Remember that everyone had written off McInsane and he somehow ended up as the nominee.
McStain was a prime example of letting liberals, RINOs and 'Rats pick our candidate for us using the mechanism of the media (to attack truly conservative candidates by means of ridicule, ignoring what they had to say, and minimizing their chances through any number of 'pundits' saying "they have no chance". See 'self-fulfilling prophecy'). Another way McCain ended up as the GOP nominee last time was due to the open primaries allowing 'Rats to cross party lines to cast votes for Republican candidates. That crap has got to stop once and for all (Michael Steele? Hello?).
Now I will reiterate what my FRiend StephenJohnBanker has said to one and all, that man has over 40,000 posts here on FR, and has NEVER supported Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, or any RINO of ANY flavor, he supported Duncan Hunter, and after Hunter's campaign fizzled, he supported Fred Thompson. If Ansel12 or ANYone is going to run their fat mouth about SJB being some sort of Romney/Paul-bot, they better get their ass in gear and start digging through the FR archives because they better have something to back up their hot air, and here's a clue: they won't find it in any one of those past 40,000+ posts. SJB is a conservative's conservative, and I stand with him unconditionally.

A mistake that you guys are making when bringing up “front runners, two years out” like Connelly or Rudy Giulianni, or all the others that we could name, is that those were merely name recognition polls.
Mitt Romney is not just a guy that shows up on TV and wins name recognition polls, Mitt is running and running hard, he is locking up every bit of the primaries that he can, in every important state that he can, when the day comes for the general public to look at the candidates, the other candidates will find out that they don’t have donors, that they don’t have top tier campaign help, that the decision makers and opinion makers have already been obligated to Mitt, they will find that they are already three years behind in a one year primary, and that they are looking for assets in a political store that has already been sucked clean of usable goods by Mitt Romney.

I understand your fear of Romney doing to us in 2012 what McCain did in 2008. Most of us (except the Romney-bots of which there are a bunch here) have that fear. For better or worse (compared to Obama) he would have a better chance of beating Obama than Mccain did simply because democrats are on a down cycle after an huge up cycle. But 2012 is unknown so that could change again.
Back to Palin, so are you hoping that it will be Palin that will confront Romney as a primary candidate but not necessarily as a presidential candidate herself in 2011-2012? So far she is not dissing any republicans even during a primary. That leaves only two options : 1) She runs herself, or 2) she supports a better candidate than Romney positively.

rabscuttle385; and stephenjohnbanker; truly dispise McCain and this is a McCain primary not a Romney primary. They both dislike RINO Romney but Romney’s negatives are pretty much covered here in huge detail. He is not going to get much freeper support. You ever read the comments in his posts? He is as popular as Obama.
What if McCain decided to run again against Romney again? What a mess that would be.
