After Democratic lawmakers were targeted by death threats and vandalism, House Democrats met with members of the Capitol Police today to discuss security concerns.
Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Majority Whip James Clyburn held a press conference this afternoon on Capitol Hill, saying members had raised concerns and that Capitol Police told them to address any suspicious activity around the Capitol.
"Any member who feels themselves at risk is getting attention from the proper authorities," Hoyer said. At least 10 Democratic lawmakers have complained of threats or other security concerns.

My biggest fear is a successful attempt on Onada’s life-by anybody. Surely, thinking people who oppose Onada understand making him a martyr is something we absolutely do not want. My next biggest fear is that some demrat does it and makes it look like a conservative plot.
These next few months will be interesting. IMHO Onada and his band of angry commies will keep going left—despite voter rejection of socialism—and leave no choice except revolt. They believe they can defy the public will and get away with it.

The Demo/MSM crybabies are all upset because some TEA Party people are posting home addresses of the members of Congress who voted for the gov health care takeover. Why shouldn’t their home addresses be posted? They chose to be “public servants,” so they should be totally available to the public. We pay for their homes; we should be allowed to stop by and visit them.

The the notion had died down recently, but threats and vandalism will only serve to bring this back up again. We know that’s not true, but we don’t want to give an excuse to those who would take away our freedom of speech to implement their nefarious plans.’
So, rather than make them steal our freedoms, we should just volunteer to give them up? Not likely. These bastards are tyrants, they will find excuses no matter what we do. This is part of their plan...the best thing we can do is stick together and disrupt their world. Not with violence but civil disobedience. Don’t break their office windows...sit at their front door or picket in front.
Last time there was militia-talk, Timothy McVeith went to work and that was the end of that.
I never said, bend over and take it. I would rather explore more peaceful alternatives first, such as civil disobedience and the court challenges.
But hey, anyone who wants to take a pot shot at the president or congress, go right ahead. Just be sure you can also man up to the consequences of your actions. I really don’t care.
