Apparently, this exemption will apply similarly to believers in Islam, which considers health insurance - and, for that matter, any form of risk insurance - to be haraam (forbidden).

There is a space (%20) between “2010” a “/03” in the bad link — “2010 /03” is bad “2010/03” is good.
You can Report Abuse on yourself and ask the Mod to fix the OP.

BS - under equal protection there should be no exemptions. This is discrimination.

BS - under equal protection there should be no exemptions. This is discrimination. The 0bama-trons were too cowardly to make the Amish part of socialized health care. No good comes from tangling with the Amish. You will only get bad PR for yourself and that is why they were made exempt

Thanks a lot. I copied it to something else and tried it to see if it worked, but copying from my test to here added the space, I guess when I cut it.

If this is true - we have to get Drudge to get it up on the Drudge Report plus Rush and Savage.

I foresee a court case demanding that Catholics be able to buy an insurance policy that doesn't cover abortion, contraception, sex change operations, sterilization, IVF, etc.
The fedgov cannot make a law privileging one religion over another. Period.

So that means theyll be denied treatment, right? Exactly, I want to see the first news reports of Muslims not being covered. I am holding my breath as you no doubt are as well.

I’ve heard that Muslims have religious legal dodges to handle this kind of issue. They do something else that they don’t call insurance, but which handles the costs.

Become ordained quickly and easily, and begin your own ministry! As a legally ordained minister, you will be able to perform weddings, funerals, baptisms and other functions of the clergy. In existence since 1959, the Universal Life Church is headquartered in Modesto, California, and has congregations around the world. The sun never sets on the Universal Life Church. ULC ministers come from all walks of life and spiritual traditions. Our common thread is our adherence to the universal doctrine of religious freedom: "Do only that which is right". Every person has the natural right (and the responsibility) to peacefully determine what is right. We are advocates of religious freedom. The Universal Life Church wants you to pursue your spiritual beliefs without interference from any outside agency, including government or church authority. You may become a legally ordained minister for life, without cost, and without question of faith.
