Top IRS officials have been working with Democrats on Capitol Hill to determine how the agency will enforce President Obama’s new health care law. Republican lawmakers estimate the legislation will require the hiring of many thousands of new tax enforcement agents.
While it’s still not known exactly how many will be hired, here’s what’s clear: Under the new law, the IRS is required to fine taxpayers thousands of dollars if they do not purchase health insurance. In order for the government to enforce compliance, tax authorities will need information, for the first time, about people’s health care. Collecting that data will require more IRS personnel.
Consider what has happened in Massachusetts, which passed a similar health care bill in 2006. To enforce the individual mandate, the state’s Department of Revenue asks filers what kind of insurance they have, as well as details like whether their “sincerely held religious beliefs” are moving them to petition for an exemption from the requirement.

That's the real question...how many "we the people" are there? I've got a terrible feeling that half the population are lazy dependent "eaters" wanting socialism and freebies from what I'm seeing (you know the crowd that put Barry the Clown in office)...and a quarter just really don't give a damn one way or the other...and would roll over without a whimper no matter what happens..the level of apathy I see around me is appalling (of course I live in the liberal cesspool California) Like a friend said to me...Americans of today are not like the Americans who came here in wooden ships....

No fines, no taxes , nothing that has to do with the death care bill. End of story. If they want me, they can find me at my vacation home. Gonna be a long plane ride for them. I have insurance. Keep reading. Everyday on FR we read about Americans blowing away burglars and robbers breaking into citizen’s homes. It’s good practice plus it shows that people are ready and willing to kill thugs.

Actually, Logan's Run may be the most accurate of all of them regarding our future path. They kill everyone over 35 years old in that movie.
Death panels, anyone? Oh, and don't even get me started on Soylent Green. There is a large essay in there somewhere about Obama's failed policies and disdain for human life.
you realize that for me, a small business owner with a catastrophic policy and a health savings account, that I will have to pay the ‘fine’ for not having the correct coverage even though my policy meets my needs exactly!

It’s neither in the original title, nor the article....though beside the article they took the liberty of showing a photo of what appear to be well-armed military.
Problem is it is a small minority IMHO. The vast majority of today's Americans are spineless and compliant.
I think socialism seems natural in philosophical form yet to actually be implemented it requires force. It helps to have a neutered populace like we have in American too.
