ABERDEEN
Wasn’t there a song about this? I think the name was “Mississippi Queer”
“Ellen DeGeneres presented the scholarship to McMillen during an appearance on DeGeneres’ nationally syndicated show.”
I wonder if degenerate will give me 30K if I claim I’m a lesbian in a man’s body?
If the perverts win the rest of the kids can boycott the “official” prom and hold one of their own. That way,the pervs will be able to dance (and, most likely, fornicate) to their heart’s content.
The school is under no obligation to host parties.
Bears repeating
The school is under no obligation to host parties.
Can lesbians "fornicate"?
It appears Ellen pulled an 'Oprah' in that someone else foots the bill and Ellen gets the glory.
(Remember when Oprah gave away a bunch of Pontiac G6s and everyone ooooooh'ed and aaaaah'ed. Pontiac paid the bill but Oprah got credit for her generosity.)
Who can say? I can only assume that there must be *something* they do to get their "thrills".
LOL. How typical of liberals.
True. But they do have an obligation to refund any fees collected to cover the cancelled event. Many of the students will have purchased prom clothing or rented it for the event. The cancellation represents a financial hardship individually and a significant loss when summed over the body of students who intended to attend the prom.
She may very well might. In fact, you might be able to get an Oprah episode and explain your philosophy.
I’d probably confuse them.
It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out.
Had the school continued to hold the prom, but banned the gay couple, I’d bet on the student filing the lawsuit. The public school’s policy against same-sex couples will probably be struck down at some point. Not saying I’m thrilled with the idea, but I think it inevitable.
But forcing the school to hold a prom? Proms aren’t part of the educational curriculum in any high school I’ve ever heard of before. A tradition, maybe, but not a requirement. I would think the school has a pretty good case with the ‘distraction from education’ position.
All of this is IMNLHO (non-legal humble opinion), of course.
Hehe, just make something up. ON the bright side, you could screw yourself all day and never have to stop if you didn’t want to.
IMO, proms are an anachronism and should be done away with. There was a time when the prom was a way for high school students to mark their passage into adulthood. Today, in many cases, it is an occasion of overspending by parents and binge drinking by kids.
Schools should get themselves out of the prom tradition. And if there are parents who object, let them take over sponsoring the party.
Like the queer that you are?
“Im a lesbian in a mans body”?
Yeah sailor, that’s what all you South Carolina Scotsmen say.
The 30k that ED should be enough, no?
Why do these damn deviants have to ruin it for everyone?
