[history]
When I asked John McCain what he would say to his old friend Ted Kennedy this morning, he smiled and said "Congratulations."
But he had nothing good to say about the legislation that passed the House late last night.
Calling it "a massive government takeover of the health care system," he promised the GOP would fight it on all fronts: challenging the reconciliation "fix" bill in the Senate, moving more broadly to repeal the bill later this year, questioning its Constitutionality in the courts and, of course, hoping to reap electoral gains come November.

He won’t leave until forced to leave. He’s not there to serve the public (most of them aren’t), he’s there because it’s a great club to belong to and it makes him feel “special” and privileged.

Which is a shame, really, because that means we're going to have to drag him out of there, kicking and screaming, and that is just going to tarnish his record of service. That's something that I really would prefer did not have to be done, but my daughter's future is more important than the memory of his record of service, so ....

It’s amazing that this guy who was shot down fighting for his country and crashed in a rice paddy found anything in common with a rich punk who crashed an Oldsmobile into a lagoon and left his female companion to drown while he and his lawyers fabricated a cover story. Did the Commies break McCain and brainwash him into serving their purposes?

McCain....missing in action on this fight and any other fight that was important to the American people. What an ineffective jerk.

You know, we're going to just have to accept being called "racist" until the term no longer works. It's been weakened a little, but we are still allowing ourselves to be held hostage by it. If considering citizens entitled to rights and privileges that illegals aren't (not that I consider this cr*p to be either) makes me a racist, then I am. We've got to stop letting the fear of that word shut our mouths from speaking the truth, or we'll be bashed and silenced by it through to the end of this country.

you’re right. that’s what gets the republicans in trouble, the “fear factor”, which msm is happy to play along.

Oh well, the future and direction of America and the ability of a representative to affect those things is not about McCain. He won't understand that until he's defeated.

No, what happened to him happens to most of them, especially when they’ve been there for donkey’s years and think they “own” their seat-they become part of the “club” and see their loyalty to the club as a priority over the very reason they supposedly went there in the first place-to serve their constituents.

Well loyalty to idiocy is not what I consider honorable or brilliant. I liked her when she showed the semblance of “going rogue”... but by supporting the old petting zoo pony (not Maverick) she is showing she is NOT going rogue, not really, she has allowed herself to be politicized and it has damaged her in my mind. GO JD, you da MAN.
