Fox News Smears Tea Party: Pelosi, Lewis Walk Through Protesters "like civil rights march"

Fox news Producer Chad Pergram was just on the phone with anchor Megyn Kelly excitedly telling the story of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi walking arm and arm with Rep. John Lewis though a throng of thousands of Tea Party protesters on Capitol Hill who were chanting "kill the bill."

Pergram compared the scene to civil rights era marches with Pelosi and Lewis as the good guys and the Tea Party protesters as the bad guys.

Lewis and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus have made unsubstantiated charges that they were called n***** by protesters yesterday while walking between the Capitol and Congressional offices.

Pergram said Pelosi and Lewis were accompanied by several other Democrats and that she was carrying a large ceremonial gavel.

Today marks the 45th anniversary of a civil rights march in Selma, Alabama that Lewis participated in.

(summarizing) Karl Cameron just stating that the alleged incident of racism yesterday doesn't represent the majority of those protesting. He saw no signs of what was being accused based on the civility of the crowd.

My grandparents left Sicily in the early 20th century. They left to get away from this crap. I am sure they are turning over in their graves right now.

I have faith that despite this “bill's” passage, we can restore the U.S. back to greatness.

From what I've understood, nobody crossed the line, because nobody called the lying race-baiter a slur. At the very least, they could say "alleged", like they do in other cases. And where's their selective outrage regarding a member of Congress calling American citizens exercising their patriotic duty, as Hillary Clinton called it, "teabaggers" on the floor of the House? Now that's a despicable slur, from a Congressman speaking from the people's House yet!

I heard a report from James Rosen in Israel earlier that painted Israel and Netanyahu as the bad guys in the dust up over building in East Jerusalem. It was so bad that my jaw dropped.

I heard Megan Kelly , twice give answers that were pure left wing. In answer to Glenn, I have been looking for this to happen. A company that would own the Fox network channel with all its garbage doen't set well with me.
I think Glenn has a purpose in setting up his own studio and Rush has also. They are getting prepared. I wondered why he changed his format? Maybe he was told to.
Fox is committing suicide. It will take more than Hucklel Berry to keep them going.

As noted below, Carl Cameron told Megyn Kelly that the protesters with rare exception are decent people. The problem is that Fox, along with the rest of the media, is reporting as fact unsubstantiated charges of racial slurs—and then comparing a walk among peaceful protesters to the worst of the civil rights era.
