Though by their own count thousands of anti-ObamaCare protesters gathered outside the Capitol building on Saturday, ABC decided to smear the entire cause by stressing the despicable actions of a handful or even fewer as anchor David Muir announced in setting up the first story on Saturdays World News:
Protesters against the plan gathered on the streets of the capital where late today we learned words shouted turned very ugly, reports of racial and homophobic slurs, one protester actually spitting on a Congressman.
Following the lead story on President Barack Obamas pep talk to House Democrats, and before Jonathan Karls count on where the vote stands (he put it at 212 yes versus 214 no), Muir went to:
Late word from Washington tonight about just how ugly the crowds gathered outside the Longworth office building have become. We learned that as Congressman Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri was leaving his office someone in the crowd spit on him. There are also reports of racial and homophobic slurs, one targeting Congressman John Lewis, the famous civil rights champion, and the other involving Congressman Barney Frank. You can listen in for yourself.

If ABC thinks THIS was ugly, wait until the RATS pass this abomination. It’s gonna get REAL UGLY!!
Keep the race issue going is part of the communist plan for america....
if you ignore the doggies yelping at your legs they go away...and don’t feed them...they’ll just come back for more.
You got it. Rat union thugs planted themselves in the crowd. It's easy to do, and even easier to get the Democrat newsrooms to "believe" it.

yep
Wow...the lies keep growing by the minute...now we’re spitting on people? Me thinks there is a lot of “projection” going on by a bunch of aging hippie liberals.

Few Tea Party folks are used to confrontations, but we are at war. It isn't pleasant to think that we need to enforce standards at our meetings and rallies, but we must. Lacking formal officers means that each and every one of us has to demand discipline. Loose cannons endanger each of us and all of us. Spitting on someone is physical agression, it can't be allowed.
The latest contrived racial incidents on the very threshold of The People's House which thankfully has been exposed as bogus by two videos already circulating on the web, is but the predictable spasm of the liberal health care agenda. One can lay down as immutable as a Newtonian law the proposition that the more detached a Democrat/Progressive position becomes from the common sense of the people, the more likely they are to drench themselves with indignation over racialism.
This time the video exists to expose the posturing for what it is, the most cynical political ploy of the modern age. Whether the mainstream media will air these videos is quite another question because they, nearly as much as the Democratic Party itself, are captured by a myth that says the media called America to account in the civil rights struggle and is morally bound today to carry the torch of righteousness guiding America against the Neanderthals who oppose diversity.
This mindset accounts for the greater than normal distortion of news to affect the election of Barack Obama who was black as well as " progressive." Nevertheless, the videos of today of a manufactured or at best greatly exaggerated incident exists and the means to disseminate them exist quite apart from the broken monopoly of the mainstream media. The field has not been abandoned to the self-righteous race crusaders of the establishment media.
One final word on the state of play today of racism in America. When black Congressmen enter the People's House to make laws which will affect all Americans, white or black, they openly do so as members of the Black Congressional Caucus. They do so as African-Americans. They openly Caucus as African-Americans. They come from largely African-American districts. They hold a kind of African liberation/Marxist/conspiratorial/victim politics which is exploited to achieve vote counts in excess of 90% from their African-American districts. In effect, they are legislating as African-Americans against America.
In doing this the African-American legislators and the Democrats who exploit the race card do so in order to vitiate majority rule and the Constitution of the United States. Some time ago I published the following reply on Free Republic which I think justifies those conclusions. More, the logic compels the assertion that so long as Democrats and African-American Democrats play the race card any boorish behavior by Tea Party Patriots toward these Black and homosexual Congressmen is just that, boorishness, a departure from decorum, but no worse. Racism practiced in the paneled rooms of the Congress is no less odious than racism displayed on the streets, in fact, it's far more harmful. Here is the reply:
.....................................................................................................................
It seems to me there are two sides to the race card used by the left. First, there is the negative side which we have seen played against people like Trent Lott and Senator Allen. Second, there is also an affirmative action side. This is plain to see in admittance to university where a finite census makes the process a zero-sum game and the inclusion of one race, based on race, means the exclusion of another race.
The first is unfortunate and tends to intimidate whites into political correctness. That is a very dangerous cultural conditioning process. But the second category describes a game which is more dangerous because it carries with it the inevitability of corrupting the rule of law and our democratic process. In other words, it elevates considerations of race over the Constitution, the equal application of laws, and the electoral process. [In fact, universities have tacitly and explicitly said they would simply not obey court rulings to ignore race in their admissions policy-an illustration that this pernicious doctrine elevates a racism over the rule of law.] If American cities descend into chaos because black majorities elect corrupt politicians, that is ultimately dangerous for the whole country. If black juries are routinely declining to convict for black on white violence, preferring instead the prerogative of "jury nullification" we have lost some precious portion of the rule of law.
I have previously posted these two replies which I ask you to read in this context, which is the context of preserving our representative democracy and our precious system of constitutional law. One was written before the election and the other afterward:
There are two facts about Barak Obama which stand out above all others: first, he is so inexperienced that he is unqualified to be the president of the United States of American. Second, he is regarded to be African-American.
The truth, which no one seems to be willing to tell, is that such an inexperienced individual would never be the nominee of America's largest political party if it were not for the fact that he is accepted to be black. He would simply not be nominated if he were not African-American.
One of the ways he got nominated, apart from the mainstream media like Chris Matthews anointing him to assuage their white guilt, was because he polled at better than 90% of African-Americans voters in the primaries. Another truth that is rarely mentioned is that, quite simply, African-Americans voted their race. They voted for Obama because he is black. That is the essence of racism.
The problem with this development for white voters is that people like Chris Matthews ask us to unilaterally disarm in the face of this racism. We are told at every turn that criticism of Obama's inexperience is thinly disguised racism. The mainstream media who tell us that, as well as black voters who are motivated by racism, are not just playing some abstract game, they are trying to attain political power over all voters, including white voters.
That is, after all, what politics is all about: who gets to enforce their desires at the point of a gun about who gets what and who pays for it. In extreme instances, the Chief Executive commits our sons, and now daughters, to die on some battlefield. The stakes are almost infinite. They involve our blood and treasure.
If the game of politics is to be rigged by racism, by blacks voting their color, it is folly for white people to play a different game. If blacks can vote for Obama because he is black, whites can vote against him because he is black. If blacks can vote their race, whites can vote their race too, and do so free of taint or accusation of racism.
The mainstream media, and Chris Matthews is the prominent example, perhaps unconsciously, have been struggling to divert white voters attention away from these realities and away from voting their own self-interest, or even the interests of the nation as a whole.
The best that can be said of Obama is that he is inexperienced and unqualified for office. The worst that can be said of this campaign is that it is racist at its core.
............................................................................................................................................................
Colin Powell has actually done conservatives a very great service in his remarks which unfortunately will probably go largely unremarked as our attention gets diverted to Rush Limbaugh.
For years now on these threads I have been asserting that Tip O'Neill had it wrong, all politics is not local, in America, all politics is racial. Colin Powell has just confirmed that for us on two levels. First, and least important, his slip in admitting elsewhere that he voted for Obama, at least in part because of his race, confirms what many of us have been saying for some time, Obama was elected only because he was black and would not have been elected had he been white. Powell provides anecdotal evidence of the racism of the black vote in America.
It is significant that he thinks the Republicans are in electoral trouble for a long time to come-and he is right. As Powell moves from the "white" party to the party of mixed race, he does so knowing that it is safe to do so. The election of a mixed-race president has preceded by a few years the demographic reality. Powell is intelligent enough to know that there is not the slightest chance that Obama will actually close the borders and freeze illegal immigration. He knows Obama and the Democrats will enfranchise on a wholesale basis immigrants who, for the most part now, will be of color, that is, Brown. So we are going to become a nation of color and there is no political means available to stop the demographic tidal wave which is impending over our political destinies.
This is usually the time in which the writer is obligated to state that his objection is not to the color of the voter but to his policies. I hear no objection from Powell about the policies or politics of either Obama or the people who elected him. I hear an obeisance not to the principles which moved Afro-Americans and other voters of color but to the voters themselves and that because of their color. This is the essence of racism.
Why must I as a writer on this forum perform obligatory ritual disclaimers of racism on my part when Colin Powell is telling everyone that these groups must be pandered to solely because of their color or their race? Explicitly he says that principles of the conservative/Republican party must be put aside to accommodate what is in the "hearts and minds" of people of color. Why? For no reason other than that they will be in the majority. Is it fair to assume that Colin Powell thinks that white racism is legitimate today because whites are still in the majority? What about what is in my heart and my mind as a white person, will that count when I go into the minority?
So long as more than 50% of the electorate votes because they are people of color or because they are guilty because they are white, principles, any principles even liberal principles if they have any, are irrelevant. Color and demagoguery conquer all. In playing this race card the Democrats are flirting with the death of democracy as well as constitutional government and the rule of law.
In America all politics is racial -and that is a truism owing no thanks to conservatives.
The day a Black man became President is the day I started finding all the squealing and shrieking about racism absolutely hilarious! I mean, laugh in their face hilarious.

Video Surfaces of John Lewis “N*****” Incident at Tea Party Protest on Capitol Hill

circlecity: “I dont hear the supposed offensive language. They are just saying Kill the bill.”
— Several responses confirm that claim.
Anti-Bubba182: “I heard Kill the Bill and some Booing! Thats it!!”
o_zarkman44: “Shocking video??? I am shocked I never heard the N word when told evidence otherwise.”
A video has surfaced this evening of the incident today involving civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) and Tea Party protesters on Capitol Hill. Rep. Lewis has alleged that he was called a n***** by the protesters. Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN), who was walking with Rep. Lewis, says he heard the word n***** fifteen times. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) claims “It was a chorus” of people yelling “n*****.” The video, filmed by Marooned in Marin and posted at YouTube, shows Reps. Lewis and Carson walking together, with Rep. Cleaver several yards behind as they fight their way through the Tea Party patriots like they were in 1965 Selma, Alabama. Reps. Chaka Fattah (D-PA) and Maxine Waters (D-CA) are also walking behind Lewis in the video. View the shocking video here.

Thank you for that post.
lol
Thanks...but I can't take credit for it...Dennis Miller came up with the line in his comedy show "The Raw Feed" back in 2003...and there was a little bit more to it...
"You know, Shakespeare said, 'First, kill all the lawyers'...well, I've been thinking about it, and you know, I think we could get away with it...because then, at our trial, we won't have adequate representation in the eyes of the court."
Btw, ......... Pittsburgh here, anat.
If it happened, then I applaud the protesters who spat on the leftist members of congress.
That’s exactly what they’ve been doing to us—F***’em!
If the average American was like me they would have gotten much worse.
Incidentally, I just saw an error in my reply which I hasten to assert is caused by Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice recognition software which hears me say "affect" when I actually dictated, "effect."
I do know the difference, I hope the difference never changes, it took a long time to learn it the way it is.
Ha! If anybody thinks outside the box it’s Dennis Miller.
Somewhere Kenneth Gladney must be shaking his head in disgust.
