Mathesons the guy whose brother was nominated to the federal bench on the very day he met with The One about health care. He was a no before
and hes a no now. Space was yes before, but suddenly hes a no too and a hard no judging by his statement, i.e. not one liable to flip back tomorrow. All of which is perfectly dull and predictable if you assume that Pelosi has already made it to 216 and beyond and is simply looking to cut loose a few red-district Democrats to vote no at the eleventh hour. But wait: Were told that this wasnt a surprise to Speaker Pelosi but that she didnt release him to vote no either, as sometimes happens late in the game when the leadership knows it has enough votes and can spare some to protect vulnerable incumbents. I dont know how else to read that except as an admission that she doesnt have the votes. Im shocked to be saying it, but if TPM is right, this really isnt over. Yet.

She doesn’t have the votes. If she had the votes, they would have already voted.
I sure hope Allah is right.
We’ll have to see if this guy’s appointment to the bench suddenly vaporizes after the NO vote comes in!

ATTENTION: Spokesman for Rep. Glenn Nye says that rumors he has decided to vote ‘yes’ on #HCR are NOT TRUE. It’s a hoax.
It won’t be over even if the flaming socialist/marxists ram this unconstitutional, socialist cr*p through Congress. The people are not bound to comply with any unconstitutional act of Congress. We are the government and will have the final say as to how we are governed. The battle will only intensify on our side if this goes through.
And if Pelosi had the votes, Organizing For America wouldn’t feel the need to send our emails telling their supporters to call Sanchez from California telling her to vote yes, the fact that they feel the need to get her on board tells me they dont have the votes
I hope you are right. A government takeover of 1/6 of our economy wouldn’t be good for the country we love.
It’s going to hurt the budgets of already suffering states. Why would anyone with any sense in California go for this, in particular?
Nye is a nay! Be still, my heart.
She doesn't have the votes until the votes are cast. These are 415 actual people. Most of them are slimy cowards. No one really knows what each of them fears the most. I was in DC today and from what I saw they should be very afraid.
After the extreme disregard they have demonstrated for the Constitution (and any other law or rule in their way), there’s no way they’d wait 72 hours just to satisfy a campaign promise. If she thought she had the votes at 4:00 am, she’d go for it. They scheduled the vote, and are now using the 72-hour “rule” to increase the pressure on Dems they are trying to flip to yes. If they don’t have it, I expect them to postpone the vote.
“Not a yes” is not the same as a “no.”
Just a hunch.
Some good news. Let’s continue to pray and stay active.
And they wouldn’t be trying to carve out abortion language.
Indeed. And that is a move that has already prompted the pro-aborts to say that such an action is a no-go for them.
