According to the Holy Bible ANYONE who does bad things to Isreal, Bad things will happen to them.
That's fine, I have no objection to the prophetic interpretation that says that a great many unbelieving Jews will come to Christ. I hope and pray it may be so!!
MY point is simply this: let's not confuse Christ-denying Jews, with Biblical-Prophetic Israel. God says that it is Christ-believing Jews (and ingrafted gentiles) who are Biblical-Prophetic Israel, and that Christ-denying Jews are not Biblical-Prophetic Israel.
So let's not get them confused, as far as interpreting prophecy.
I wasn’t confused by it, Christ will rule with his saints for 1000 years, both Hebrew and grafted in Gentiles from Jerusalem...Satan gets loosed “for a little season”...a big rebellion ensues...then the final judgment.
I personally believe that the "thousand years" is figurative for "a very long time", like "the cattle on a thousand hills" or "a thousand years with the Lord is as a day". I don't take the view that the time period in question is precisely 365,000 24-hour days.
But that's just me, and I don't think that such points of minor disagreement are as crucial as the proper understanding of Biblical-Prophetic Israel.
Israel, in God's eyes, is not "a bunch of Christ-denying Jews living in the Canaan geographical area"; rather Israel is "Christ-believing Jews and ingrafted gentiles, wherever they live". The Apostle Paul said so! Ergo, these are the people ("Christ-believing Jews and ingrafted gentiles") whom Scripture is talking about when it refers to Biblical-Prophetic Israel.
Well I do think for a time it will be in a specific geographical area(1500 miles high, long and wide, centered at Jerusalem), though you are also right about the nation being the totality of God’s people...not only of that time but of all men of faith who ever lived right back thru Adam, then Godly Seth, Methusulah, Noah, thru Abraham and so forth downthru to the future. The Church exists transtemporally and transdimensionally, standing firm against the gates of Hell, and offering hope and life to the spiritually dark.
Re: your #104 — Now, with all of this, I’m mostly or completely in agreement. Thanks for the discussion!
