Krauthammer just tore Stupik up. Said he caved, and knew that an EO has no standing in this bill.
We have socialized medicine run by the government as of tonight.
Well, that’s cause my Diet Coke typo never went viral and got pulled before anyone really noticed.
I’ll let you think about that one for a bit... grin
exactamente, Hoo
“Yeah, I was wondering a well where were all the Pub TV commercials against this travesty?”
There were a few, but none of them were anywhere near the level of alarm they needed to be. We have to show folks that nationalized health care is as HEARTLESS as they characterize our position.
Debate on HR3590 and HR4872 is now open.
Waxman up for 15 minutes.
Calling house to order. 1st time this session.
Yeah your spin from a web site is what is important not facts, logic, and truth right?
What about population growth, inflation, military spending, 2 wars, 9/11, etc. does NOT equal government growth do you not understand?
The dollar amount of “spending means nothing” as it is affected by these and other factors.
To show government growth you have to show a significant increase in the number of government agencies or of government workers. but I guess that is beyond you.
where are the 2 numbers? you said Republicans tripled the growth of government . So that must mean that there were 3 times the number of government workers per population or that the number of government agencies tripled.
Insurance companies are agents of the governments as of tonight. = Charles.
I agree with you in regards to those who crafted this bill. They know EXACTLY what they are doing. However, there are still a great majority of people in this country who TRUST the government to do what is right, and good (don’t even get me started on how STUPID those people are...). For THEM these will qualify as “unintended consequences”. If you enter a debate with these people and insinuate that their representatives are evil - you’ve lost the debate before it has started, really. [Even if it IS the truth!]
They’ll be on the Left Coast and through Mexico to take direct control of their property well before that . . . in military uniforms . . . with plenty of arms.
I heard Charles- as he often does- he NAILED it.
Juan...he’s just in another world.
This is so scary. Health care is over...
I have a great idea.
Every Republican should just start spouting facts in their time.
“Your vote for this bill will increase taxes x amount per family.”
“Your vote for this bill will use American tax dollars to fund abortion.”
“Your vote for this bill will mandate that every American will have insurance or go to jail/pay fines”
“Your vote will hire 17,000 IRS agents to enforce the unconstitutional bill”
etc. etc. Nothing but the facts.
If one of the bill’s provisions is that pre-existing conditions must be covered immediately, one would expect all health insurance premiums to increase tomorrow. I’m going to do a quote prinout from one company and see how it compares to a printout a month from now.
Steny Hoyer up now - talking about the Edmond Pettis bridge and Selma.
Crossing bridges - a recurring Demo theme.
This is a bridge to communism...
The EO was just an “out” for Stupak. There are few real statesmen left in our government.
